Came across this in Kmart Watergardens, seems to be an in store only price as I don't see listing of it on the Kmart website https://www.kmart.com.au/search/?searchTerm=nintendo%20switc…
This is the non-OLED model.

I called the store a couple of hours ago and they had one left which was the display model (lived outside the box in the glass display case). Although I'm not VIC-based and they wouldn't ship it to another store.
Called customer service and they advised they couldn't see stock for it anywhere, and that kmart will receive stock in 3-5 weeks but at regular rrp. Still might be worth calling around to stores to check if there are any last units floating around.
Switch only 7 years old. Feels longer
Slap a modchip in them and breathe new life
I feel like a joke using "Breath of the Wild" could be made here
Also the modchip brings
Tears of the [nintendo] kingdom
@HunterBargainHunter: only reason why I haven't had the heart to let go of my unpatched switch. haha
'Guess with the Nintendo Switch 2 about to be released'
Yeah people have only been saying that for 4 years lol
It was confirmed March 2025 then delayed to July 2025, so yeah who knows when it’ll come.
No point starting to manufacturer new device while they have a stockpile of switches and still sales are reasonably well
@easternculture: Yah exactly
Confirmed by who? I see nothing on Nintendo's website about it.
@Ruddaga: Cheers - I was getting excited there for a bit. Thought I missed an announcement.
Yeah, and I won it from the treasure hunt on here, lol.
OLED was $289 at Target last week
Was a deal posted on ozbargain? Can't seem to see it
was under low stock
Don’t think so. Was the OLED red mario edition. I didn’t buy as waiting for switch 2. I expect there will be similar sales leading up to release date
No the $289 is the same as the one linked above in OP.
The OLED was $349

Tempting to get a switch one day for around $300
Is the OLED worth the extra?
In portable mode. Most definitely. In docked mode. Not really.
@maverickjohn: Ok thanks. Will see how I got with this cheap R36S for my portable fix, but a switch would be cool for tv as well.
Kmart near me doesn't sell games anymore
I wasn't aware that any still did
I got my switch off fb marketplace some years ago for like $140 i think? v1 as well :D
Nice
pathetic console, had one for ~2 months then sold it
majority of good games were ports of the Wii U (that I had for years), BOTW, Mario Kart 8, etc.
instead of buying this weak piece of outdated tech, I recommend people to - buy original games - then emulate the Switch (Yuzu, now sudachi). You can play games with twice the resolution, locked 60 fps, mods, etc. You'd have a much better experience emulating these games than playing on the actual console, which is comical.
I mostly use mine for games nights now but it can't be beaten for that. So many fun nights with friends in the lounge room playing Mario Kart 8 (which now has about the double the content it did on Wii U), Boomerang Fu, Heave Ho, Pico Park.
Playing the odd single player title like the Zelda games is just a bonus.
Switch MK8 double the content? don't think so, my Wii U version + DLCs is identical to MK8 Deluxe - same tracks, same characters (with one or other being different)
MK8 or Deluxe, emulated in 4k locked 60 fps is indeed great for fun nights
Rubbish. The Switch version has an extra 48 courses and 8 characters that are not on WiiU.
@Merlict: only if you buy the DLC, base game is the same - I have both
I saw this switch at water gardens kmart at this price for over a year but paid no attention since I have a OLED.
Guess I now know where it went.
Real question is how many left?
