  • Shows as $39.99 for me, $49.99 for the black.

edit: it says you need prime for the title price

“The magnetic charge only provides up to 7.5W maximum power.“

Good price, hope they have a good price on the newer qi2 standard which charges iPhones at 15w instead of 7.5w.

  • I have prime and I can’t see this price?

  • I can get the price but a number of reviews, even positive ones, mention that it gets quite hot. Would I be better off with a battery pack that connects through a cable? And can anyone recommend a decent one that’s good for travelling?

I have this battery and havent noticed that it gets hot. I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra though.

A cable will always be better, and by a decent margin too.
Wireless charging has losses that begin at about 30% with perfect alignment, and get worse as alignment and distance worsen (even 1mm for a phone case).
So regulators and chemical process ignored you're getting at minimum a 30% loss of power going wireless vs a 1% or so loss in a vaguely decent cable.

You be better off with a power bank almost half the size.
Plenty of good options on OzBargain pop up. Keep an eye out.

      • Not wrong at all, but being able to snap on a battery to start charging without a cable is an awesome privilege lol plus no need to place the battery separately somewhere while moving around

Thanks guys, I’ll look into a powerbank. Cables don’t bother me too much.

    • @Shenannigoat this is a popular one in our household. Aside from the fact that it has worked well for many months, it has the cables built in and has options for all ports.

      • Thanks for the recommendation, Clint. I had a look at that one and a few others and ended up getting this one. As I looked around I realised my main criteria was a balance between weight and capacity and this seemed a good fit as it's about the same weight as my phone and should be worth around two full charges.
