    $5 for 24 led lights x 4 = 96 led lights @ $20.
    $22.88 for 100 led lights, not much of a difference.

    BUT, the 200 led lights for $34.88 is a bargain !
    as 24 led lights x 8 = 192 led lights @ $40, that's $5.12 more and 8 led lights less…

      It's true, bought some last year, not for xmas, mind you. Ended up returning most of them a couple of weeks later, not sure if the batteries are shit or just poor connections. Keep your receipt!

        To be fair, it'd take him an equal amount of effort to buy new ones each year. Maybe more, cus he'd have to go out and earn the $5.

      To be fair, mr powerpoint is selling 100 delivered for $22.88, and you're comparing them to the 24 lights you paid $5 for - multiplied x 4 to get ~100 lights and that's $20 - so it equals $2.88 postage for mr powerpoint- seems pretty reasonable to me.

        having intermittent solar panels will create a difference in light brightness, some lights turn on while others are still off or some will last longer, while others shorter and various issues, you will have more problems…

  What power?
  The solar-powered LED's I've seen are so dim you cannot see them when a full moon is up.
  Don't bother.

  Even the mains powered lights are usually dim compared to a standard 20mA LED. Strip-mounted SMDs are the way to shine!
