What’s happened to discounted airbnb gift cards these days? Recall seeing them discounted at Cole’s (10% off via flybuys points) frequently earlier this year. Reckon it’s been months since the last airbnb offer

    • Thanks for reminding me. I subscribed to AirbNb and AirBnb Gift Card bargains so hoping I find out when they're on.

In 2023 there were fifteen promotions on Airbnb gift cards at Coles, Woolworths and Big W. This year there have been two, one in January and one in February. My guess is that Airbnb are no longer interested in offering discounts on their gift cards

Great for money laundering. Thanks Coles.

Don't forget, any orders on Uber/Eats in the last 30 days can have their payment method changed to gift card.

    • Didn't know this. So you can "retrospectively" use a gift card? Does Uber then refund your original credit card?

Also, any way to use Uber wallet credits when overseas? I find it doesn't let me use a "conversion" if I call an Uber in France, despite having ample credits in my account.

    • I made an account just to flag this, be VERY VERY careful about changing payment methods, I've discovered 132.61 dollars worth of phantom charges against my Uber Wallet where support have claimed they've processed a refund but no corresponding refund against my Paypal account. It's also an immense pain to deal with Uber's customer support… Learnt my lesson the hard way

      • I’ve done it twice and haven’t had an issues. My refund was back to a credit card not to PayPal.

  • Uber menu food are already jacked up by 10+% before the added service fees.
