I still believe this should be free, all info available and searchable on MBSOnline

Any plans for an android version given that android has at least 50% market share now?

    • +2

Hmmm…. I don't think Android has 50% of the health professionals markets. Most doctors, psychologists, etc I know use iPhones. Also, the stats show that Android users are less willing to pay for apps than iPhone users… plus it's harder to develop apps that work well with screens smaller than 3" to bigger than 5". iOS apps only need to cater to the 3.5 and 4" screens, and then an iPad version.

      • I carry a note 2 around and its perfect with skyscape. Decent for Hx taking too.

"plus it's harder to develop apps that work well with screens smaller than 3" to bigger than 5"."

Thats not true for android at least, if its well coded it should just upscale. 5" is still quite small…

Being a tech savvy guy, I can't stand iOS. Just sooo restrictive, I can't do anything without jumping through hoops or the bloatware which is itunes. :P

    • A lot of that 50% are Android 2.x phones, where people buy just to make calls and SMS, with occasional apps. They are really used as smarter feature phones, that happen to run Android.

    • We are looking to update our existing android app.

Feedback from regular users would be awesome.

Our app is designed for users unable to access the online version of the mbs. This app is practical to have with you to access anytime, anywhere and without the need for a 3G/wifi connection.

It's already been used by hundreds of health professionals across Australia and we have had very positive feedback to date.

  • We have 25 free promo codes to give away - redeemable via the iTunes App Store. Please see instructions above.

    Enjoy.

Pretty sure you're not allowed to buy votes here dude.

  • +2

OzBargain posting guidelines state that you can't ask for votes.

  • What can this app do that free ones in the iTunes store can't?

    Eg. MBS Search http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/mbs-search/id359823085?mt=8

    • -1

MBS Search is currently not working at all for iOS 6. Major issues. Read reviews.

So for $5.50 you basically just make a copy of the schedule and put it in the app. Doesn't sound like you add any extra value to what someone could do if they just saved the schedules on their phone in a text document.

    • We have not simply cut and copied the codes. It is very easy to dismiss the app based on a superficial understanding of it.

I'm happy to even send you a promo for you to try and see what you think.

Obviously, it is targeted at health professionals, so not everyone may benefit from the functionalities our app has to offer.

    • The government does release a PDF version of all the MBS book and item numbers so you can download that, an search it.

    Still overpriced
    Trying to buy votes
Very limited amount like a competition
