This isn't a deal, it's referral spam of this deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/860610

Use the $20 referral generator instead

Don't think so - i think OP got this from a flyer handed out at a train station etc.

Referal offer was 5 uses max

This offer code is valid only for the first 1000 users and only for new users.

        • Mate, this is not the same deal as mentioned by you in the comment. I received a flyer in my mailbox apparently and just posted it here.

      • You're right, confirmed it's different and only up to $20. Description is wrong.

So I still don't see how it's a deal since there's a guaranteed give and get $20 with the referral.

  • I am Uber excited about this offer…ausgezeichnet. Not!

  • Apparently doesnt work anymore, least for me.

  • Only got $10.

    • Yea, the deal says it's upto $20 and I got $15 while my mate got the entire $20.

      • Genuine question, what's the benefit to this vs using the referral generator to give and get a guaranteed $20 as well?

Also, I'd say the "up to" part is a pretty important piece of missing info.

If fact, it incorrectly says get $20 in title and description.

        • With how the referrals are set up, I have to rely on someone else to PM me their referral link. I've requested for one but have been ghosted. The code takes away this dependency.

          • @ronnknee: Ah yes, fair point. I've never had that.

For me, if I get a sense I'm ghosted I just request another one and always found someone jumps on it within a few minutes.

The "upto was mentioned in the Description when I read it today, had posted the title from the flyer ( basically the same as that from the flyer )" had not known it was upto until I used it personally. My bad, but you can tell this without being so rude mate.

          • @tb22: Not sure what your bad was, bar the flyer pic it sounds like you did everything you could

Also, thanks for letting me know you found something I said so rude

I'm open to feedback of what you found offensive or what you'd rather I'd have said to not have been rude in your eyes

Should probably include "up to" in the actual deal if you knew this beforehand.

Got to know that way later after I posted.

  • got $20

Why not use the $20 generator to give $20 as well?

      • Why so butthurt lol. People can choose how they get free money

Hey thanks for commenting and your concern if I feel hurt.

To be clear I too love it when people make their own choices and love free money as well.

My reason for commenting is out of care for anyone who'd like the clarity if there's more free money/better deals elsewhere.

For me that's the point of OzB.

          • @ozilicious: i mean one has a delay based on how long it takes to respond and the other is instant.

            point of OzB

in my eyes any OzB’er like to have the promo asap, not dependent on anyone else. As much as Id like to wait on others, they may not be able to reply/ have run out of codes. This is very much instant. If everyone thought like you, this post would be downvoted to oblivion and no one else would know about it

            • @AH: Also less money but for sure, two different deals

any OzB’er like to have the promo asap, not dependent on anyone else

For me, success of cashback deals (which take months and depend on third-party paying out) very much says otherwise

        • Why so butthurt lol. People can choose how they get free money

Exactly - just hurt that no one has used his $20 code yet.

          • @Quarter Pounder: Mine's maxed, was easy money and just wanted others to know it exists, but thanks for considering what I might be feeling

      • I should have clarified on my comment that I got the $20 on an account which I deleted about 2 years ago. Didn't think the new user referral would work but I did get $20 from this code :)

  • $20, via website. Thanks.

    • Cheers!

  • What determines how much you get? is it random?

    • Well I am not sure about it either.

  • So I used this code and got $10 first time and now my account keeps getting $10 uber cash after I place an order 😂 this happen with anyone? It's happened three times with three orders.

    • I think it’s meant to give you $20, not $10. System was probably still updating when you saw that you had $10 initially

  • Not working for me.

    • Can confirm it’s still working. Are you a new user to uber eats?

      • I get “oops, this promotion could not be claimed”

        • Must be new account. Just did it today to test on your comment and I still got the Uber cash on my new account

          • @BargainsGrabber: Well, I had to ask. How do you create a new account if you just have one mobile number (this is for me). I mean, I have not tried it, but most companies have the mobile as primary key in their database.

  • +2

Got error "Oops, this promotion is no longer available" not sure if that means its finished or that it means I can't redeem.

    • Maybe, it has reached the maximum redeemable limit.
