Loved it too. The mini golf courses were the best.

Nah, that's not 'Rugrats Adventure Game'. You're thinking of 'Rugrats: Search for Reptar' on the PS1, which also came out in 1998. That was the one with mini-golf. Absolute classic.

In the Steam version of the demo you can actually get the NES ROM of this via inspecting the Steam game folder on Windows.
The devs of the game acknowledged this here when interviewed. Might not be a direct replacement for the NES cartridge from the supplier but still cool. Personally I put the NES rom on my 3ds and played it.
Hoping the full game has it too.
