    I just bought a second (spare) pair. they're fantastic shoes, but they do need a little wearing in to soften them up. Birkenstocks seems to have doubled in price and halved in quality in the last few years, aside from the social stigma of wearing crocs when going out, there's no downside. Wear em with socks in winter to really rub it in.
