  • $1450 off

    PRICE in title

  • are we able to stack the $1000 trade in offer as well?

    • +2

      Nah, not in conjunction,
If you go to the item on the website, there are promos right under the photo, and this $1450 off is the second one.
      Says in the conditions there

    • Have heard mixed feedback. The staff noted it was possible and was going to do it for me but I went away to do the trade in. Went back to see another staff and that staff said it was not possible and I didn't want to argue and didn't go ahead with it in the end.

However I don't see why it couldn't be stacked. The $1450 is just a gift card that they apply to the phone as a payment (same as if we used a gift card to pay) and the trade in is a coupon they scan which deducts from the phone price.

Document it all and fair trading (not that they are useful, pretty sht agency)? JB deals are becoming a joke that their own staff are telling different stories.

don't see the $800 gift card offer

  • Anyone had luck in Melbourne with stacking the offers like in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15660416/redir ? If so, can you please share which store and staff name, if possible..

The $700 was a gift card from the $79 plan which is different from this $1450 off the Pixel 9 Fold. That is why you can’t stacked it

  • Crazy JB had $1700 off Google Pixel 9 Pro XL but only $1450 for Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

    • +1

It was $1800 for fold as part of pre-order.. This is a good deal, if it can be stacked with $800 voucher..

      • +3

Confirmed with staff that it can't be stacked. It's one or the other apparently

What's the penalty if you cancel the contract?

  • +2

    lol that's called OVERPRICED RRP.

    • Isn't all RRP overpriced for new products. Give it a month or two.

  • Anyone have any insider info on possible upcoming deals for Pro (non-XL) models?

  • What does the total come to if the plan is cancelled? Seems like min cost is still 2.3k

    • Is it still capped at a voucher total of $800, or is the new voucher total the $1450?

      • Were you able to confirm?

  • -2

For 512gb I worked out just over 1k

    • How…?

      • 2897−1450−1000−5 iPhone 7 trade in, + 766.59 cancellation of telstra = 1208.59

May get a few extra off RRP but not much

Is there any risk if you cancel the trade-in after signing up? You will get charged for the device value by Assurant, that's fine. But is there any risk of them asking back for the $1000 coupon?

          • @ShinyDiamond: That dude's calculations are completely wrong. Best not to listen to that comment.

Firstly, they seem to be stacking trade-in offers with the 24-month plan offer which isn't allowed.
Next up is the $1450 voucher, which is considered a "JB Hi-Fi Voucher". This means if you cancel, you will need to repay that amount for the months you didn't use the plan for.

            • +1

@Huack: Agree with you i have been told its non stackable as they are two different offers.

  • I'll send them the iPhone. It's worthless
