I've used an old model Zyron charger for several overseas trips over the past year and it hasn't blown up. I like the interchangeable plugs. This looks like a good back up.

A couple bucks more than the last deal.

hmmm this doesnt look too bad

Yes, good one if someone need case & adaptors for overseas travel. Otherwise this one will do, at cheaper price. at the moment $39.99*(1-21%) = $31.59 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CRTNQT1V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_f…

Yep I have 2 of those to use around the house. Great chargers. Paid about $30 each

    • Did the price change?

It shows it is around $50

      • $56.99 - $17

  • Anyone know if the Japan one is correct?

    • +1

What's the problem? Japan just uses the US plug.

    • +1

Yeah I used it in Japan.. no probs

    • The Japan one is the plug with no adapter attached to it as the baseline adapter plug is just the USA one. Putting the AU one on it for example just sheathes the AU plug over the USA style two long prongs. Works great and currently traveling through Spain.

This one was good. The 100w blew up within 2 weeks, but this one was good.

    • +4

      Somehow that's not entirely reassuring.

      • I was thinking much the same when I ready the OP's "and it hasn't blown up" comment.

Got 2 of these, works well in Aus and overseass

  • Not enough charging ports and the ones that do have more are too expensive… I also find this a bit useless for me considering my toothbrush needs an actual socket to plug into.

I'd rather something like this https://www.amazon.com.au/Outlets-Protection-Powerboard-Exte…

    • You're not going to find many travel powerboards.

Aldi sold something like this before but the USB ports are awfully slow.

      https://bauhn.com.au/universal-travel-adaptor-kit/

      • The one I linked is a total of 4.5 amps just like the Aldi one so it'll be slow too but that's not an issue. I'm charging 2x phones, a camera, and a powrbank overnight which is plenty of time for all those to hit full.

    • Get a cheap adapter for your toothbrush.. this has great usb ports to fast charge electronics.

      • I'm not fussed about fast charge. Overnight is plenty of time for everything to charge and I have a powerbank for throughout the day.

    • That link is only 22W shared across all ports. The charger posted is enough to power a laptop and charge a phone simultaneously, they are very different products.

The reason they don't have many ports is because they can't power them all at once without expensive electronics. You can't just add more ports to a low wattage charger and expect them all to power/charge the same as the single port.

    • I just take a travel power plug adapter and use an Australian 4 port power board. Can easily charge my laptop, my and my gfs phone and cameras from a multi port charger like the one in this deal, toothbrush, whatever other random stuff you can think to bring that has universal switching PSUs on them.

    • I bought that board recently and found it good to power the travel router & plug a 4 port charger into. A very handy & slim accessory in my laptop bag.

    • Have you considered travelling even lighter with a… manual toothbrush? Crazy, I know.

Sold, purely as yours hasn't blown up yet

Have been keeping an eye on this for the past two months. It goes down to this price every two weeks

  • Are these actually any better than the $10 chargers on aliexpress with similar (or better) specs? Sources suggest they are just as good.

Zyron has been around for a little while now, and no mass reports of fires and what not like Heymix. So probably a step above the typical Chinese generic, but have seen a a couple posts on dubious build quality, probably as expected.

I've bought around 5 Zyron products now, and so far one has died on me (older model GAN charger). I emailed the team and they sent me a replacement within a couple days, so that was appreciated.

Using this now on holiday. So far so good. The travel adaptors click in nicely and easy to remove.

I got the extension cord to make it easier to have on the table if the outlse is near the floor.
