    Cracking album!

If anyone is after the coloured vinyl, Amazon has it for $49.94

    • cheers - added it to the description

    • This is the newest colour variant (red/gold splatter on translucent vinyl), currently $65 on Maniacs and $76 at JB so great find here

If anyone is interested in the bands future, 8am Friday on YouTube they’re live streaming their first show since 2017 - also announcing their new vocalist and possibly playing a new song

    • Ahh legend cheers for that, I had no idea.

I don't think people will accept older LP songs being played by a new vocalist. If they continue, they need to be putting out new music. In saying that, I wouldn't want to see Shinoda take the spotlight either because then I may as well listen to Fort Minor.

      • They’re too big to go back to the old Hybrid Theory days when they had a 45 minute album and a 1 hour slot, plus the fans want to hear One Step Closer, Faint, Leave Out All The Rest, something from The Hunting Party (literally, anything, please aha) so they absolutely need a vocalist to join Mike

The current strongest rumour is Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara, but that is absolutely 100% not confirmed

This was the first album I ever owned. I still love it as much as I did back 20+ years ago.

    • Same here, bought it from Sanity back in the day. Good times!

I used to play this every day on my discman on the bus. I would always play Faint really loudly so people would hear the sound leak from my headphones and think I was cool.

    • Are you me?

    • -1

I was extra 'cool'. I'm pretty sure I had this on minidisk!

      • Check out ol' moneybags over here

        • It was the way of the future! I'm pretty sure we got it through an uncle who worked in Hong Kong and was very into the 'next big thing' technology. Invested heavily in his laser disk collection too, and then Bluray became a thing…

Great album, great Vinyl to own, but I just simply refuse to accept these prices being a 'bargain' now.

    • The recent “One Step” version (highest quality audio on 180g vinyl) was $248 in Australia aha

      Username checks out.

There’s less and less places pressing vinyl, plus inflation, Australia tax, etc - is it really that surprising?

      • Not as surprising as these (Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Minutes To Midnight) coming out a month after new coloured variants of Hybrid Theory, Meteora and The Hunting Party aha

    • this is ozb so I agree - this is my last LP vinyl to get so can wait until a ripper bargain comes up

  • This will go nicely with my $30 copy of hybrid theory https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572726

Nice, I had them sign my vinyl copy of Hybrid Theory before a show (was a member of their LPU).

    • +1

I got my Hybrid Theory EP signed at the Melbourne show in 2013

      • Awesome! I saw them then too, but at Sydney, I think I had them sign a Living Things poster at that one, wish I had had them sign a different vinyl, like meteora, now!

        • The LIVING THINGS vinyl cover was dope AF, same cover as the LIVING THINGS+ and Australian Tour Editions

      • Haha, are you me? I did the same. Met them twice, got my M2M CE signed too, pain to carry but worth it.
