Let It Shine (Soundtrack) CD $0.99 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

90

Listen up folks - You too can own the audio goldmine that is "Let It Shine." Imagine a soundtrack so compelling, it almost convinces a preacher that hip-hop won't send you straight to eternal darnation.

Starring Cyrus DeBarge, the brave soul trying to convince his dad that hip-hop is more Mozart than Mephistopheles. It's Disney's epic showdown between beats and Bible verses, wrapped in a catchy soundtrack that'll make even the most skeptical churchgoer bob their head.

Act fast, because this deal will disappear quicker than Cyrus' hopes of converting his dad. Snatch it up while you can and embrace the sweet irony of Disney tackling deep cultural divides with all the subtlety of a hammer!

This guy must be channelling the Lord because the first thing I thought when I read that description was "Jesus Christ".

Been monitoring this item every morning since 2013 and can confirm this is an all time low price. Invested in 10 copies for me and my extended family, thank you OP.

  • Can get a 6 pack of drink coasters for $2.50 from Kmart

      That's sacrilegious

    • You can also get Mat/Coaster for $0.99

      • Bulk buy is the OBargin way.

  • Does $10 Perks voucher cover shipping? Should be able to get the CD for free if it does.

    • Or buy 11 copies for 89c if you do click and collect.

  • This is about to be OzBargained for sure.

  • No joke post bro!

  • Serious question but what happens to all the cds and DVDs and games stores can’t sell. Like for instance where are all the ps3 or ps2 games they had in store years ago before the next gen came out, I don’t think they sold every single one of them so do they like throw them in land fill or what

    • I can at least comment for the PS3 era, they did indeed discount the games heavily when the PS4 was releasing and selling them out. JB Hi-fi was running out games for $1, I was there and it was glorious.

No such thing for PS4 games though as backwards compatibility going forward is probably going to keep the prices up.

      • But surely they didn’t sell EVERY single one, I’m guessing they just all go to landfill. Like I don’t think they’re gonna sell every single copy of this soundtrack so in like 10 years where are they all gonna be, still in the store somewhere.

They all eventually end up in that big hole out in the desert with all those unsold Atari 2600 cartridges of E.T.

          • @AngusD: This is why I wanted to know where they all end up so I could go unearth thousands of copies of sing star

that's what happens in retail. When TANDY stores were closing down I had popped in to see if anything on clearance was worth buying and out of impulse I asked if they had any old video games stuff - like Atari etc. WELL, they had boxes of sealed Atari 7800 cartridges out the back and I bought them in bulk for like $1 each, so then I did a tandy store crawl and ended up with 200+ carts. Made that back many, many times over back in selling them on ebay.

    • I used to work in Sanity. We would return them back to the supplier for a credit for future orders. Sometimes future orders that came were clearly returned from retailers with price sticker residue on them.

  • It’s 4pm and my brain is thinking about where my ps2 copy of shark tale is gonna wind up in 50 years. I’m tossing up between bottom of the ocean or landfill
