Just checked the conditions of these promos and they call out that credit will expire so not sure what happens with the credit longer term…

    Eligibility (2024 - Summer Campaign):
Rewards will be added to users' accounts when they add the code from use code section.
    Campaign period: July 23, 2024 - Sep 30, 2024.
Reward credit expiration date: December 30, 2024.

See at the end of the faq: https://roamless.com/faq

    • Good find, on their front page it states no expirations but I assume that must be credit added.

    • Also found - https://roamless.com/terms-conditions

"From time to time we may offer promotional rewards, discounts, or credits ("Rewards”) that can be applied by you toward certain transactions relating to the Services if timely used by you, as further described in any information we provide you relating to a specific Reward and our then current Rewards policies. Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash and are not subject to any refunds. Rewards will expire if not timely used by the designated expiration period (typically 1 to 6 months, depending on the specific Reward). If not otherwise stated by us, Rewards expire after 6 months from issuance, and we reserve the right to reduce the applicable expiration period to 3 months upon notice to you or posting on our website, as and if permitted by law."

  • Can this issue me an Australian mobile number? I’m assuming not as it seems to be data only?

    • No number, only data.

    • Not sure as it gives a calls option, if you don’t choose the data option.

    • As ballistykx said, there's no number. But just FYI, being data-only doesn't mean there's no phone number. You can have a data-only SIM which still has a number

  • Does this 2G Free only work in Australia?. I entered the code now it shows 2GB data in Australia

No, it works in any country they support but the prices are different so you get different GBs.

    Excellent. Thank you.
Currently overseas. Download app, signed up, redeemed code and activated eSIM - works straight away!
Ordered an eSIM thru “BNE” a few weeks ago - Ozbargain recommendation and much cheaper than any other providers out there currently. BNE also comes with unlimited domestic calls which could be handy. Got 20GB - but this deal is handy as I don’t have to keep sharing/hotspot with my partner!

      • I've added all 3 codes and it shows total $11.20 / 4.6gb for me

GZ2024 dont work. SUMMER24 and GRE24 worked for me. Thanks

    • same here. I like this Roamless, as it doesn't expire like most….

      • Same and same.

  • Bit weird in Africa they cover Burkina Faso, but not Zimbabwe.

    Japan is $6 per GB!

I installed their eSIM on my and my family's devices while we were in Fiji and neighboring countries, but it didn't work at all (we tried at least 10 times across these locations). It showed as successfully connected, but whenever I tried to open a website, it kept loading endlessly. As a result, we had to rely on our Optus roaming during our stay.
Please do not rely on these eSIMs.

I had this issue as well, very efficient troubleshooting and rectification via their support channel and worked perfectly for the rest of the trip, as well as in Australia on our return.

Just tried, only SUMMER24 has worked for me. Thanks OP!

  • Only SUMMER24 is working for me - GRE24 says this promotion is not available on your account.

Not sure whether it’s been OzBargained or I’ve done something wrong. Just tried to enter it in USE CODES.

Thanks anyway, I got a few GB for free.

    • I had it the other way around - gre24 worked when redeemed first, but then summer24 returned same message as yours - not applicable for your account. Seems the codes are now mutually exclusive.

These offers are good, but if you're going to specific countries you're better off finding local cashback and/or sign up bonus offers.

IE the US has T-Mobile free ESIM for 3 months
The UK you can easily get 100GB+ for 10 pounds
The above with EU roaming for a little extra
    Etc.

Only ever really find value in the world eSIMs for airport transfers where I'm too lazy to connect to WiFi (Qatar/UAE/Singapore/Hong Kong/etc)

      • Didn't know this list existed, cheers

There's still better offers available if you know someone bargain savvy where you're travelling to, ie irregular cashback offers etc. I managed 2 months in the UK without paying a cent for data.

My main sim is still Felix, used almost purely for receiving SMSs. I've received calls overseas and never been charged so unsure if that part of the guide has changed? Felix is Vodafone and I was roaming via Vodafone UK, maybe that's the difference?

Edit: Also you don't need the main pack on Felix while roaming - it's ONLY the $20/year pack. I was able to send txts still without any main plan while roaming.

        • I managed 2 months in the UK without paying a cent for data.

Mind sharing a bit more on this?

Found code "NEWBIE" that still works to give $5 credit, when combined with welcome bonus yields a total of $6.25 USD. This code also worked with the referral bonus (see top of thread) as well.

This seems like a good option for us. It will be interesting to see how this goes for an upcoming trip. We never use anywhere near the total data of any plan we have bought in the past. With two phones/accounts, I think this might work out a lot better for us as we should be able to roll over the remaining balance to future trips, but even on the straight economics of a single trip this works out at about half the cost of our usual supplier for the same amount of (expiring) data. I know there are other possibly cheaper options in particular region (T-mobile, Orange Flex etc) but at least you can test this locally before you depart.

One question I have is what order is the data used in? If I buy additional credit, is the promo bonus data (which might have an expiry date) used first or is the purchased data used first? I can't find any published answer to that question. Ozbargainers, your experience?

Cheers I only signed up last week and had already applied 2 codes. It did not work for me so would only be for new users since the deal expired.

I don’t know the actual answer but my experience is it will use the paid data first and promotion data is usually last.

Thanks for the reply. I think the same, paid then promo, but would be interested to know what actually happens…….. you might be lucky!
