You might wanna put esim in the title

  • +6

SUMMER24 didn’t work for me but GZ2024 did. Thanks.

    • +3

I just signed up, and both codes worked for me.

    • +1

      Same

    • Both worked for me

  • +1

it just give me balance about 2 doller, where is my 2GB ?

    • How many GB does your balance convert to?

      • Bugger all! US$6.45/gb for Malaysia.

        • +1

Just keep collecting codes, I've got every single promotion code posted on ozbargain.

        • I couldn't get this esim to work in KL recently. Hope you have better luck.

          • +1

@Charlie Dont Surf: Isn't at so annoying!!??
I couldn't get my free flexiroam esim to work in Japan. I'll never hear the end of it from my wife. "Don't be so cheap. Just buy a real esim".

        • +1

Australian data is 3x cheaper than Malaysian data. Something is not right LOL

  • Anyone got this working with a wearable?

I tried with my Galaxy Watch 5 but no go.

    • Did you try it with a data eSim or number eSim?

      • As far as I can tell this is a data only eSim, doesn't even have a number

        • This could be the reason, does watches need a number eSim?

  • +1

both worked… how long does the data keep/expire?

    • Doesn't expire.

      • +1

        sweet got 3.0Gb

      • Are you sure? Under My Rewards it says I've used 4 promo codes earning $17.75, but my balance is $7.75.

        I don't think I've every used it.

  • +2

Both code worked for me, got total $7.45 (which apparently translate to 3gb in australia) … but ill use it for my layover in china in a couple of months time… Thanks!

    • Same :)

    • +2

Just be mindful, i did a layover in guangzhou to tokyo. I had internet but didnt realise everything was blocked lol so i couldnt do anything.

      • Blocked as no internet at all or just certain sites/apps?

        • +1

a lot of things are blocked like Facebook etc

        • Literally everything is blocked in China, from Google, Facebook, X, Instagram, to WhatsApp, Signal, Snapchat, Slack, Teams, etc.

          • @Freddies: When using this Roamless service?

            • @FatTofu: Idk because I bought a Hk sim card eventually and it works

      • +3

Daym that dead pokgai great firewall really got you

      • +1

You will need a VPN like Let'sVPN. Nordvpn and other common VPN don't seem to work that well behind the great firewall.

      • What's that?

I couldn't get flexiroam to work in Japan. Would show 4 bars but no internet connection. I struggled with it for 15 days until my free plan expired :(
I turned off VPN - did I need to turn it on and say I was in Japan??

      • Just to clarify, were you blocked when using Roamless?

  • +1

Great! Worked for me, both of the codes. Thank you.

  • +5

We should have a forum topic listing all these travel sim deals. Unless there's one already. In which case can someone please point me to the link?

  • +1

    Both worked - thanks!

  • is there any issue with activating the e-sim now on my Iphone if not planning to use it for few months? does iphone have limit on esims?

    • You can have a maximum of 2 sims at any given time, whether it's 1 eSim & 1 Physical or 2x eSims.

You can just reactivate your Roamless sim at will though so don't feel pressured to activate it now, and don't worry if you have to delete and re-add it later.

      • +6

You can store more than 2, but can only have 2 active.

      • Thanks. I didn't realise that I couldn't have 2 eSims active.

I previously had a physical main sim, so when I travelled I could continue to recieve MFA texts etc, whilst using an esim for data.
I now have an esim for main account, so last time I travelled it wouldn't let me have both active and was wondering what was wrong.

    • iPhones maximum of 20 esims stored. Only 2 can be active at the same time

  • Worked, thanks OP

  • Dumb question… do data sims (and I know this is now an esim) still allow receiving of sms? Years ago they did

    • +1

Some do some don't, it really depends if they assign an actual number to the eSim.

In the case of Roamless because it's meant to be used globally and not at one specific country they don't bother assigning a number so no SMS but you can still use iMessage, WhatsApp or whatever it be.

    • I didn't know they used to, or that some still do as @TheFreaK said.

My experience is they don't have a number, so I'm thinking maybe the cheap ones don't.

  • This has both Telstra and Optus coverage, excellent for hiking and occasionally needing either of these networks. Thanks OP

  • can you combine referral with code?

    • Pretty sure you can, I missed some promo codes but my profile says I've used 5 total

      • "You must have added money to your account at least once"
Does adding this code count as adding money?

        • Can't confirm as I have already added money to my account and also claimed deals in the past with that requirement

          • @TheFreaK: What payment type did you use as it looks like it is USD only?

            • @bobwokeup: I've got a feeless debit card for international transactions so just used that

              • @TheFreaK: Ah cheers what card is that and do you get charged for the conversion?

Could I use Revolut or Up?

  • 5? Can you share some? Do we enter them all at once?

    • A lot have been posted on ozbargain but now expired.

  • +1

Be warn that the cost of data are different for each destination.

  • I think I used these guys before and it worked well. Used a different google account and claimed with no issues

  • No Vietnam 😕

    • +4

Yes there is "Viet Nam" :)

      • Ha ha, that's right.

  • Thanks OP, great post
need to pass by Hong Kong for 2 days and seems not worth to get a sim card
    this just fit the purpose!

HK data is more costly: $4.45/GB but guess it should be enough for 2 days

    • just be mindful that some local apps don't work very well if you dont' have a local number to use, may be even harder if you don't have your normal number on roam either.

  • Thanks OP, both codes worked!

  • Codes don't seem to be working anymore.

    • Are you using an existing account? Maybe you have already claimed them in the past.

      • Worked for 1 account so I signed up for my partner using another email and wouldn't work.

  • My son had this on his phone for use in NZ last month, couldn't get it to work at all. Me either but at least I had my Aus number on roaming. Got onto support which is all via email, but they were extremely responsive, replying to emails within a couple of mins most times except for when they had to do some sort of reset on the account. Got it all working and I did the same steps on mine and it worked fine as well, I was fairly impressed with their support.

  • When do the credits expire? looks like my account from past promo which had $10 credit now has $0
    credit

  • these guys are so expensive. e.g. singapore is US$8.95/GB vs BNE which is US$2.97/GB (after 20% discount code)

    • +1

Definitely not planning on buying any data from these guys but I've accumulated plenty of free credit.

    • I am planning to go to Saudia and the rates is $18/GB lol

      • Yikes, bnesim is $US3/GB after 20% discount code, and becomes cheaper if you select a larger data pack

  • Both codes worked for me - existing account.

  • any cost if you don't plan to recharge? will it bill you automatically or just disable internet?

    • I have never entered my credit card details so I assume they will just disable internet.

  • Both codes worked for me without any issues

  • +4

Code GZ2024 has expired. Also referal is not working

    • +1

It worked for me. Just need to top up my wallet to activate it. *edit - damn need to add $20 to get the $5 credit. Worth doing?

  • both codes worked for me - $7.45 balance. Anyone know if credit expires? Or can activate esim early next year and use it up when im overseas

  • for anyone getting a message saying 'Did you mean…' when typing in your email on sign up, try use an email address with no dashes or other funky symbols in it

and goodness this app is persistent abt notifications if u deny it perms

GZ2024 also not working on my end now

  • both codes worked.

  • +1

Do you activate your esim at your destination or you can activate before you arrive?

    • Can activate before, it doesn't expire.

      • If you activate now it doesn’t update your eSIM profile?

  • Summer24 worked for me. Tried gz code first.

Hopefully I can activate fine in Singapore next month.

    • You can try activating it before going, the credit doesn't expire.

      • After activating, how does it choose the destination country? By my location?

        • +1

I assume when it finds a signal then it will know what country to charge you.

  • +51

    Another code

    GRE24

    Worked for me!

    • Fouiyohhh thank you! Any more?

    • Thanks!

    • +1

      Thanks! This one works!

Code GZ2024 doesn't work for me:(

    • This worked for me. 7:47pm on 03/09.

    • $3.75. Nicee thanks

    • Noice, deal in the comments yet again. Thank you OP

    • This is amazing. I now have 3.5GB on the account (codes are stackable!)

  • Did you sign up via the app? Where and how you sign up? Do you need to supply credit card info?
