Coles has the chicken portions on special at $12 per 1kg but this is better priced at ~$8.89 per 1kg.

Big fan of the curry puffs, have bought numerous times. They're a big hit at pot luck.

  • These aren't boneless right?

  • I swear I have had those curry puffs from a shop before. At the time, I thought they made them in-store.

The chicken in my opinion tastes terrible… Too salty, yet the meat also feel like it is left over cuts

I would stay away even if they gave it out for free

    Louisiana Chicken Portions 1.8kg $15.99

"Produced in New Zealand from Imported ingredients"

(Often means products imported from China)

    • It's been done a million times, not in this case.

      • -1

Where are the products from then?

        • The chicken used to be advertised as 100% NZ chicken, I don’t recall seeing any of the other ingredients list the country of origin

          • @mapax: Well now it clearly says the ingredients are imported into NZ.

            • @jv: And where did NZ import it from?..

              • -3

                @Pumpkin_rrr: Often from China.

They aren't required to disclose it there…

                • @jv: Wrong again.

All of Tegels chicken is "NZ Raised, Cage Free"
It's mentioned on the front and back of the Costco packet.

You can't be that stu… I guess you are trolling right?

@Jessie Ryder: Also, on their website.

"All Tegel's chickens and turkeys are 100% bred, hatched and raised in New Zealand and we have locations in Christchurch, New Plymouth and Auckland. Are your chickens kept in cages? All of our chickens are either cage free (barn raised) or are free range."

                    Is Christchurch in China now?

All of Tegels chicken is "NZ Raised, Cage Free"

That's not what the website says…

                    • @jv: I guess you are not trolling, just …. then.

                      I quoted the website haha.

                        So did I, haha.

"Produced in New Zealand from Imported ingredients"

                        • @jv: I think this statement supersedes some imported spices
