  • regularly $348-$338 on amazon FYI. Ive been watching for a further price drop

      Was 348 last night.

Went to order this morning and was 399 again.

  • I see many of these on Marketplace and Gumtree, many in good to new condition. Probably some deals to be had there.

Shout out to everyone who bought this and used it once before putting it in the box again. Unless you got a full chair and everything, this is a hassle to set up

    Expensive.

Got one of these at a sale a few months ago. Was warned on here not to. Was told I would use it for an hour or 2 and then would forget about it. I refused to believe you.
    I was wrong.
    Do NOT buy this.

      Buy it brother
      BUY IT!!!!!!!!

The other danger is that you buy it, get the bug and then want to upgrade to a DD wheel.

I've got the G923 and get it out for a weekend here and there.

Yeah unfortunately these are really fun. Beware. 5 years onwards I bought a few of these for myself and others - g25, g27, g920 and g29 and have either given them to friends or resold them on marketplace. These days id probably recommend starting on a used one of these and if you feel a smile emerge sell it for what you got it for and get a new csl DD 5nm bundle for that bit more. Direct drive is a game changer at a great price point these days. With the boost kit to 8nm vs these logis at 3nm it's a lot more detail and fun. Always can spend more but that seems to be close to the sweet spot. Should say as well that the brake on the g920 is difficult at best with its firmness. A trubrake mod can help it but then the modding starts to get serious and more expensive too.

I was able to get one of these on ebay with a shifter bundled for about the same price, although i didn't really like it since(clack, clack clack), i ended up making my own DD wheel for $150

    • How?? Sounds like an interesting next project…

      • Yeah seriously this sounds cool. Im guessing no ffb though and weak though? It's hard to go past a csl DD bundle with pedals and a wheel for ~500 but still curious in your project, diy DD used to be ~ 2k..

        • Bit late but it has ffb and has 13nm of torque(my hoverboard motor was on the weaker end can go much higher)which is comparable to the higher end wheels, i used the plans from ffb beast to make it. Pretty much everything was from AliExpress except for the hoverboard motor which was purchased on FB for cheap.

Pedals could probably be made for 100+ depending on how far you'd be willing to go.

  • Wow. Very impressive. Do you recommend any particular guide or anything? Does it integrate with racing games well and is recognised well? That's basically a club sport DD for $150.
