Walked by the section and saw these on half off again. Bought some different ones from Coles but kids prefer the woolies one instead.

That’s fair, only half of it is chicken

Honestly this stuff tastes pretty foul (not fowl).

They used to be “ok”, like as a cheap and lazy “whatever” meal, then they went up in price and down in flavour

        • +4

          Shrunk in size too.

          • @MiscOzB: they're awful

you are better off getting chicken pieces like $4.50 drumsticks and just cooking those

The cheapest price was $1.30 but it is close enough.

  • +1

That's a nice bargain for those who can grab it. Cheers op.

    • I did. I am just eating them.

  • I like the idea that Chicken Kiev has become Chicken Kyiv. Slava Ukraini

Chicken Kiev from Aldi tastes better..

You should go and fight then

It will always be Chicken Kiev to me. Stop being politically correct.

      • always курица по-киевски for me

  • Fair price considering the current situation, might be getting cheaper further.

Had one of these last time they were half off a month or two ago. Horrible spongey chicken, filling doesn't taste good, wouldn't buy again.

The Ukranians are going through the meat grinder. Might be changed back to Kiev soon

    Disgusting fake product

  • +1

Better off buying a decent one from a butcher. They are immensely better.

    • +6

      and immensely more costly too!

  • Yeah, these are only good for filling up on, and only at this cheap price. Not great, and far from "real" chicken

  • I make an amazing fresh snitzel. We don’t mind this when feeling lazy and at this price it’s super cheap.

    • You're supposed to beat your chicken, not choke it.

  • F me Satan im coming to you, cancer hug me! 🥰

    • If the breadcrumb looks orange/yellow best to avoid.
      Same for pies.
      Flour/breadcrumb isn’t that colour.

  • I swear these used to be better than they currently are. They've always been processed "chicken" but I could swear the filling was decent. Now it's so watery.

Do try their chicken schnitzel for $1.4 during special. I feel the schnitzels are better.

  • If only people took the time to cut a full chicken there is some much more savings to be made, or at least how to debone chicken drumsticks, Bobs your uncle! 🤓
