Pretty good price for Chappell Roan's debut. After seeing all the stuff people online are saying about her wanting some privacy in her life, I checked out where to get this and bought it as other AU retailers are selling it for $100.

been this price for a few weeks now, it's pretty good. Extra 7% off if combined with another selected vinyl too.

  • Yep good price. Went with the 1 year anniversary AU exclusive for this tho

‘I heard she wanted privacy so googled where to buy her record cheapest’ is the weirdest storyline.

I know you said this was $100 at other retailers, but almost $70 for a “pop” album is outrageous.
Boy oh boy I feel sorry for her teenage fans…then again, as the old saying goes “To be old wise, you first must be young & stupid”.

Still, In saying that, 10 points for a vinyl post OP, keep them coming👍🏻.

    • Exactly. Vinyl is only getting more expensive. I remember the days back in the early 80s when records were only like $3 - $10.

You can thank the hipster trust fund douchebags for the high prices now, they’ll pay anything for records because “retro is kewl dauude”. I heard this young kid the other day say she paid $80 for a 2xLP reissue of a 90’s grunge album because “that’s how prices are now”. I replied with “thank the hipster trust fund kidults and “you don’t have to pay just cause JB HiFi says it’s worth that much”.

        Pottery at its finest lol.

        • You can blame your boomer generation for inflation

Albums in mid 80s were at least $20 and according to https://www.in2013dollars.com/australia/inflation/1985?amoun…

"$20 in 1985 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $69.03 today"

So paying $70-80 for a double LP is pretty much the same as it was in your day.

Now you can go back to yelling at clouds

      • I don't know where you were buying records but in the mid 80s to mid 90s albums were $20-25

  • Hopefully order isn’t cancelled 2 days before arrival

  • Halve it and she could take me, hot to go.
