I think you mean 576i - DVD is interlaced.

      • Even better. We can only dream of this movie being 480p

    stunning visuals!

    Buys standard DVD in 2024

To be fair, I rented a pirate DVD of Avatar 2 from a video store a month or two before it came out on disc, so what the (profanity) do I know?

      A video store?

        Future Flicks in Moe, Victoria.

Dude running it is a champ, had a fair few other video stores in the Gippsland area over the last couple decades, pretty sure Moe is all that's left though (of his, I'm sure there's the odd straggler still kicking elsewhere). He'll say some of the newer DVDs are imported from New Zealand and that's how he gets them early (and why the Aussie ratings are stickers he's slapped over the printout). Of course I say, when they all have the same menu, no piracy warning, no ads, no trailers, no special features, and so on, I say you're lying to my goddamn face, but it was still fun. To be fair, most of the thousands of movies in there are real DVDs, but he definitely bootlegs a shitload of modern ones before release (still has real copies too, for what that's worth, but in the case of Avatar and many others, when it's on the shelf months before the DVD is even out, it's a webrip he's either burned himself or got off a guy, God help him if he's buying in bulk off a dude and believes they actually are Kiwi imports).

The real nail in the coffin though is when you've got full season boxes of shows like Wandavision, Loki, etc. that are still yet to get a physical release in any form anywhere. Don't bullshit a bullshitter.

Fun store though, genuinely love and support it, it was a trip and a half getting a video store card made up in 2022.

  • the DVD extras were actually decent on this… but I wouldnt get a DVD version. Bluray was far superior

Lol I don’t know what it is about OzB and this fine, maybe adequate movie. I love physical media as much as the next man, but earlier in the month someone posted that this was streaming and called it a deal.

I’m starting to wonder if the writer is on here pushing for more residuals :p

Post history says it was the same dude. Might just be a fan of the series, idk

I won't knock it. Deal isn't for me, but neither is half the shit on here, I love a good scroll, the more deals, the better.

He just craving for attention for keep posting random deals like this I think. We all know these posts are not considered as deals, but hey now mods think it is.

  • whats a dvd? I watch video tape

  • you could find bluray's on ebay for less, not new but still,

I kinda hate how jbhifi seems to lose interest in selling certain movies after a while even movies that are less than 5 years old
