  • Thanks Commbank, $20 off for $120 spend at Reebok. My dad ain't needing new shoes.

Yello not Yellow, the CBA team is devastated !

  • Gift card purchases qualify for the cashback.

    Didn’t get this.

Stingy CBA for the billions in profit they are making and keeping, unlike others like Woollies, David Jones, Uber One, Menulog, Shopback/Westpac who’s somewhat doing a decent job which helps with cost of living.

    • +2

looking at your username, CBA thinks that you don't need any discount, ha ha ha

      • Haha this is some light hearted Aussie sarcasm for you bro. Iykyk.

I reckon you can get a job at Fox News in the US or maybe even ACA here with that quality synopsis.

      • +1

Fox news propagates fake news, my comment above doesn’t.

        • Most of the companies you listed are shit

          • @TEER3X: Not by looking at how many deals they have offered compared to CBA Yello

            • @ilovefullprice: You talk about cost of living pressures, yet give praise to Woolworths, a company along with Coles, that is engaging in unethical profiteering.

              • +1

@TEER3X: I was referring more to the billions in profits CBA is making and keeping, unlike others like Woollies, David Jones, Uber One, Menulog, Shopback/Westpac offering deals which helps with cost of living.

                I did not mention Coles.

                • @ilovefullprice: That's a rather overly simplistic analysis.

Uber's CEO pockets $24m USD + over 100m in shares.

If you are regularly relying on these food delivery companies, you've got a lot to learn about the cost of living.

                  • @TEER3X: Whether how much each CEO is pocketing is irrelevant as we’re just looking at how much pure profits are being made.

I average about 4-5 bucks max per meal with all the deals (including food delivery deals) here on OzB, ex. CBA Yello deals.

Can you make up your mind?

CBA is an entity, not a person, they can't really keep money. They pay their shareholders, staff, reinvest in the company, etc.

What do you mean keep money???

                      No one owes you anything.

Measuring a company's generosity by way of cashback deals isn't the right metric.

All of the companies you mentioned are greedy.

                      • @TEER3X: Profits are calculated after all expenses are taken into account including employee compensation, including the board’s. Profits are in excess of this and is kept or spent at their discretion.

I did not mentioned anything about owing anything, I am stacking CBA with other more generous organizations when it comes to giving back in deals or cashbacks.

It is certainly one metric that can be used by the public perception on them.

Given the deals given by CBA Yello are lower in % cashbacks and the billions of profit they are making in proportion to other organisations, they are certainly greedy.

That's certainly not a given. It's your opinion.

@TEER3X: Yes it is certainly my opinion, based on observation (data) observed from the deals they and others have.

                            • @ilovefullprice: Sometimes you need to entertain the idea you are wrong

                              • @TEER3X: I am not wrong as I know there are others who share the same sentiment as I do.

                                • @ilovefullprice: You and your cult… can never be wrong amongst one another.

                                  • @TEER3X: It’s critical thinking based on data not a cult

                                  • @TEER3X: @TEER3X : I hope you don't work for CBA. 😜. Kinda looks like you just can't hear bad about CBA & they gonna reward you for this. They have started charging $6 / month on this card which was $35 yearly. Forget about churning, $72 per year is ridiculous so I might stop it soon, however the only issue is I know the card no. by heart so I feel sad to quit.

  • Finally got this offer this time

  • no love for me

  • beware that Amazon don't bill til they ship, so they Commbank won't identify that you have purchased in time unless Amazon bill in time

    • I thought I got stung by that last time (during Prime sales) too. I bought on the last day and it didn't ship until a few days later plus another item over a week later from Amazon US - but I ended up getting the credit still. Not sure how it worked, but I'm pleased I didn't have to chase up support for it. I'm guessing they correlate the date of purchase.

21st July (last day of offer) - Purchased on Amazon
23rd Jul - Charged one portion
24th Jul - Charged second portion
29th Jul - Charged last portion
8th Aug - Got cashback in account

    • +1

If in doubt, just buy a gift card first. It will still qualify for the cashback

  • A week ago I (apparently) redeemed $15 (by notification from Commbank) to use for my Amazon account thru Yello but don't know where it went. It couldn't be found but its in the redeemed section of the page. Odd indeed.

    • Should come through in the next few days, takes a while after the notification to actually receive the cashback. My most recent cashback for Coles took 9 days to receive after the transaction.

  • Has anybody tried to see if this will work with the payment of Annual Prime Membership?

  • hahaha… I knew NO WAY IN HELL I would be targeted for this.

Sure enough, wasted a few minutes of my life scrolling through all the crap and nada.
