Looks like a pretty good price. Black and Champagne colour still in stock.
OOS for silver however can get it from hardly normal for $1 more:

I don't get why Fitbit is still around. Surprised Google hasn't killed it off or relaunched it with a more compelling sell. Surely people are aware of what else is out there from competitors with no subscription fees?
They're still transitioning the portfolio over to Pixel, it will die off eventually.
sooner the better, terrible for a parent to setup the ace kids version if they are also running an adult fitbit, and even worse if you want your pre-teen to use an adult tracker when they dont own a device or email yet.
Dude the free one is fine and fully functional (like Strava yeah). You guys clearly don't have one so ignore the comments.
LOL at whomever neg'ed your comment, have a +
I've been a fitbit user since the early charge models & seen the slow depressing decline of the brand. When my current charge 5 dies, this will almost certainly be my last Fitbit.
Having said that, I have never paid a cent for their subscriptions, nor I have felt any great need to. The baseline functionality in the app without a subscription is plenty for what the significant majority of people will ever need. I have my garmin forerunner for hardcore functionality, but the difference is so great that for most activities it wouldn't bother me if I forgot the watch and had to use the just the charge.
Get a Garmin instead
For a health/fitness band type device?
As far as I've seen, the Vivosmart and Vivofit tend to be quite lack lustre when compared to the rest of the market.
The DC rainmaker review of the Vivosmart doesn't pull any punches…
it’s as if the Fitbit Charge 5 sings the Annie song “Anything you can do I can do better!”, over and over again. From the display to the notifications, to the watch faces (or the ease of usability, to the more diverse band selection, to the ECG functionality or Fitbit Pay (contactless payment) features). And of course the price, because while the Fitbit Charge is officially $149 (retail), the reality is that almost 70% of the days between launch and now, it’s been on sale for $129 (as it is today, as usual).
And…
And certainly, one would be remiss if I skipped over Garmin’s ‘thou shall not pay to access your own data’ aspect. However, for my upcoming comparison to the Fitbit Charge 5, I actually didn’t have the Fitbit Premium subscription on my account. Thus, even in that context, the core data you’ll want is largely accessible and the same. It’s the fancier Fitbit ‘guidance’ type stuff you don’t get if you don’t pay for Fitbit Premium, but you don’t get that from Garmin either at this price point/device anyway.
$187 on Bing Lee's Ebay store for those with Ebay Plus.
Also $187 at Good Guys if you click the price beat button.
Subscription? No thanks. I prefer to get free all health data etc.
