  • I saw the have a q revo master model released too

    • Not in Australia

  • Ive been waiting for months for the Qrevo MaxV to drop.. after seeing the difference the mopping extension makes to the edges in kitchen etc, not having it is a deal breaker for me…

    • I have one, it's amazing

    • -5

The video review had me until it started talking about built in 2 way video & audio calling via the vacuums camera system and custom AI voice assistance.

      Nice try CCP

      • +1

You don't have to have it on, it's disabled by default

        • +8

Yeah, because not having it “on” has stopped all the other security breaches of camera systems and Cloud based electronics etc. (not just CCP based stuff)

It’s just features that just are not required in a vacuum and open up more potential security holes for zero gain.

          • +1

@LockedUpLotionClown: Yeah, it's like turning "off" Cortana on windows, or changing your default browser from Edge lol.

Also means you're paying for this useless shit when you just want a bloody mop/vacuum.

  • Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is what im waiting for

  • Does a very good job for that price.

  • Highly recommend this one. I havent had to clean my house for over a year. Very happy with it.

  • This one vs Narwal Freo X Ultra? Got Narwal recently, it's vacuuming sucks.

    • +1

With the Narwal is that a good or a bad thing? 😅

  • I have owned this model for close to 1 year and highly recommend it!

  • Highly recommended!

Was leaning towards the Revo Master model after watching vaccuum wars on youtube..
Would have been S8 Max or Revo Master on my short list but wondering if this price will be worth it instead

    • Master is not available in Australia

  • A ton of spares on amazon and aliexpress. I got a full kit for my S8 Pro Ultra for $65 on amazon. Been great.

    • Just bought my S8, do you have a link? Thanks

  • Was waiting for a sale on this, but now seeing there's so many different models of Q Revo. At this price though, I think its a buy.

  • +1

This or the Eufy X10 Pro Omni? The Eufy is $50 more at the good guys commercial

    • Any Eufy user here and if you could tell us how good or bad it is?

  • Is the overall OzBargain community consensus that Roborocks are better than Ecovacs in general?

    • Personal experience and VacuumWars say go Roborocks.

  • Views as to how this compares to the ecovacs t20e omni listed as deal on ozbargain available ecovacs and Amazon for ~$1099 as well?

    Differences? Which is better? Thx

The Ecovacs T20 Omni and the Roborock Q Revo are both high-end robot vacuums with advanced features, but they have some differences that could make one more suitable for your needs depending on what you're looking for. Here’s a comparison:

      1. Cleaning Performance
      • Ecovacs T20 Omni:
        • Suction Power: The T20 Omni typically has strong suction power, making it effective for both hard floors and carpets.
        • Mopping: It includes an advanced mopping system with an auto-lifting feature to avoid carpets, and hot water mop washing for better cleaning.
      • Roborock Q Revo:
        • Suction Power: Also offers powerful suction, but slightly lower than some of Roborock’s flagship models.
        • Mopping: Comes with a dual spinning mop system. While effective, it may not have the same level of mopping automation or cleaning intensity as the T20 Omni.
      2. Navigation & Mapping
      • Ecovacs T20 Omni:
        • Lidar Navigation: Uses laser navigation with advanced mapping capabilities, which helps it navigate more accurately in complex environments.
        • Object Avoidance: Equipped with 3D obstacle avoidance, which can recognize and avoid small objects like cables or shoes.
      • Roborock Q Revo:
        • Lidar Navigation: Also features lidar-based navigation, providing reliable mapping and efficient cleaning paths.
        • Object Avoidance: While it has basic obstacle avoidance, it might not be as advanced as the T20 Omni in recognizing smaller objects.
      3. Docking and Maintenance
      • Ecovacs T20 Omni:
        • Omni Station: Features a versatile all-in-one docking station that handles self-emptying, mop washing, and water refilling, with added features like hot air drying to prevent mold or odors.
      • Roborock Q Revo:
        • Docking Station: Comes with a self-emptying dock and mop washing system. However, it might lack some of the advanced features like hot air drying found in the T20 Omni’s dock.
      4. Smart Features
      • Ecovacs T20 Omni:
        • App Control: Offers a user-friendly app with detailed cleaning customization, virtual barriers, and room-specific cleaning options.
        • Voice Control: Compatible with voice assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.
      • Roborock Q Revo:
        • App Control: Similar app features with a focus on ease of use, including customizable cleaning schedules and detailed map management.
        • Voice Control: Also compatible with major voice assistants, offering similar voice control options.
      5. Price
      • Ecovacs T20 Omni: Generally, the T20 Omni is more expensive, reflecting its advanced features, especially in mopping and docking station capabilities.
      • Roborock Q Revo: Typically priced lower than the T20 Omni, making it a more budget-friendly option for those who still want high performance without all the premium features.
      6. Design and Build
      • Ecovacs T20 Omni: Sleek design with a modern look. It might be slightly bulkier due to its advanced hardware.
      • Roborock Q Revo: Compact design, easier to place in various home environments, but might not look as premium as the T20 Omni.
      Summary
      • Choose the Ecovacs T20 Omni if you prioritize advanced mopping features, a versatile docking station with hot air drying, and superior object avoidance technology.
      • Choose the Roborock Q Revo if you’re looking for a solid all-rounder with good cleaning performance, reliable navigation, and a more budget-friendly price.

Your choice will depend on your budget and which features are most important to you.

      • +2

On paper, yes. In reality, ecovacs is suck by all mean. Lost the map quite often.
It gave me tension headache with "cannot find the designated area". Bring it back to Ecovacs, they changed radar, then 2 months later, same issue.
It also quite often did not clean the corner and the mop function just does an under average job as stain was still on floor after second clean.

        • This, evovacs app is terrible my t9 wouldn't hold a map or remember after a while. The revo has a great app but its cleaning performance is worse, especially not getting into corners.

          • @allyroger: Yup I concur. The app is just terrible. Have had so much issues where the thing just "forgets" maps randomly and I've had to start from scratch by remapping.
            100% avoid.

  • +1

Really would be good to understand which one is a great buy at a great price.
There's so many variations and it's so confusing!

  • Hi all,
Been looking for a decent robot vac + mop. For tiled floors for ground floor of double storey. There's probably about 150-200sqm to be vacuumed/mopped. Will need to avoid rugs, furniture, and one carpeted room and any toys left laying around by kids..

Been looking at the Xiaomi X20+ which is of around the same price point.

Does anyone have any insight into which is a better product? The technology in the Xiaomi seems great, but the Xiaomis don't seem to have big distributors - only Kogan. So I wonder about after sales service/support..

Can anyone share some experiences or expertise around this vs the Xiaomi X20+?

    Thank you in advance..

  • Jeeeez that is cheap.

We've had one for 10 or so months. been excellent.

  • please enlighten me on this, does the robot stop when it is at the edge of the stairs?

    • +1

Yes…. Pretty much all robot vacs will identify a step and stop before the edge (even the super cheap or older models).

      • +2

Yeah even my $300 eufy vacuum can manage that. One of the few things it can do.

If you have a new puppy. Turn off your cheap robo vacs. You are welcome.

        • thanks heap. trust me last thing I want is a dollar piece of junk rolling down the stairs :P

  • I bought this a couple of months ago for $1299 and it's doing a great job!

The vacuum is much better than my older S6 at picking up pet fur. The mop is effective at cleaning my hard floors. The autodock empties and refills with no trouble.

It's not great at avoiding objects but not terrible either, though we have fairly litter free floors as it is.

  • Is there one or does this one do carpet floors well?

  • We have a S7 MaxV Ultra and I'm on the fence whether to get this for upstairs. It's PITA to move the S7 upstairs and back down, dock and all.

  • Anyone seen these in store or is this online only?

  • Been holding out for a deal on the Q7Max+, as $6-700 was roughly what I wanted to spend.

Has anyone owned both and could comment on if they think the Q Revo is worth almost double the price?

  • Still wondering if the Qrevo Master is ever coming to Australia. Even if it does it will probably be over 2k.
