    Nothing really worth while buying.

If only the spirit was on sale

    • Gregory's and Wallace Bishop had/have them for 20-25% off.

You can get 22% off RRP anyday on Longines, as long as you are buying from an AD and not the Botique. You just have to ask for it.

      • Hardy Brothers had a few for 40% off, but those evaporated very quickly.

I can imagine. 40% off is really good. Longines make great watches at an "affordable" price.

Unless you are buying something that is very rare or has a long waiting period (e.g. Rolex), you never pay full price for a watch. You go to boutique for experience but you buy from an AD to get a better price.

      • What is AD?

    No legend diver. Spewing.

  • Delivery kills it.

  • When Rolex?

    • +6

Unfortunately these days, paying retail for a Rolex is the discount.

      • Datejusts can be bought from resellers for below RRP though

    • Personally I like having my hands attached to my arms.

    Thanks, bought 15

  • Anyone know how i can get a discounted Tag Heuer in Perth? :P

    • Buy from Mazzuchelli's. They give you an automatic 10% off, you can just ask for it in their chat support.

    • Yikes 3k for a Quartz. I showed my wife, she liked the Tissot automatic I got her better, was about $900 from memory.

      • I agree, it's expensive for a quartz. But frankly, my other half isn't into technicalities of a watch (movement etc). I can see this suits her taste, classical look, elegant dress watch.

        • Understand what you mean. I do like the Cartier Tank watches for ladies too and that's expensive for what it is. But looks elegant.

      • Nothing wrong with a good Quartz movement. My Grand Seiko is a quartz and was $10k here. Mind you, paid a lot less for it in Japan.

        • Can you tell me how much you paid for it in Japan? Will be visiting their Ginza branch this December. I've held the snowflake in Singapore which was $10k. Wonder what sort of price difference is in the country.

          • @starburstyellow: Probably not as good as as the AU dollar has dropped.

          • @starburstyellow: Bought mine in Sapporo actually. Forgot how much, but….1. Definitely cheaper 2. Was a limited edition to 2021 examples for their 140th Anniversary.

Also look for second hand shops, the Japanese are anal about taking care of their stuff, it's not out of the realm to go to a hidden pawn shop and find a brand new Rolex or any other brand, with papers and even receipts.

Partner bought Seiko limited edition Galaxy Astron from a second shop, was never worn, came with original receipts.

  • I unfortunately cannot afford it
