A solid tablet IMO, this is the cheapest price yet…

this is the Media Edition MZ607, not MZ616.
The Xoom 2 is $449.00 from mobicity

Perhaps the fact that this is the 8-inch media edition rather than the 10-inch Xoom 2 could be clarified in the title?
The title becomes too long, hence just the model no., I'll put it in the description.
EDIT: its in the title, how does it look ?
Looks good to me!
Good deal, I already have the xoom 1 but this is attractive.
Wasnt the xoom 1 pretty much exactly the same in every way as the xoom 2? a slightly faster processor in the xoom2 (1.2Ghz vs 1Ghz)… I wouldnt bother upgrading from the xoom
I must admit I thought that the OP was for the Xoom 2 and not the media edition originally. I paid over $300 for my Xoom 1 and it is still a capable device, running Jelly bean.
$270-odd for a Xoom 2 would still be a very good deal, considering that the Nexus 7" is $249, but given that this is only the media edition takes that back a notch. The nexus has it over the Xoom 2 media edition in CPU terms, although the Xoom 2 ME has a marginally bigger screen.
So I suppose its a toss-up, although I'd probably go for the Nexus over this. I am somewhat concerned that an unusual 8-inch screen probably wouldnt be supported as well by app developers.
remember its not the screen size app developers look at, its the resolution, which is the same.
But, I do agree, I would go for the Nexus 7 given the choice, this is just a darn good price for those looking at getting this specific model, rather than spending more elsewhere…
Also note my points to Scotty's reply below, the Nexus 7 is not an expandable device, but yes it is future proof in terms of power and updates.
This or Nexus 7 ?
7" vs 8"
heh heh
XOOM 2 ME uses OMAP 4430 + SGX540, i.e. same CPU as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and old Kindle Fire, which is probably only slightly faster than Tegra 2. Not really comparable to Nexus 7's Tegra 2.
You get 1.2" larger screen and that's about it.
don't forget:
Expandable Memory
mini HDMI
infrared to use as a remote…
Also note, its only 40g heavier with a stronger build @ 8.2", upto 8hrs battery life with a better 720p camera than the Nexus 7…
Not really comparable to Nexus 7's Tegra 3
FTFY
The listing doesn't really make it clear, but is the model Mobicity selling the 3G version? Sorely tempted if so…
This is wifi only, apparently:-

nope it doesn't have 3G…
Original Price: $599 Sale Price: $259 Dicsount: 57%. Even then they are making money out of it. The kind of markups seen in electronic items is just insane! In this case, atleast 300%…
Even then they are making money out of it.
OBVIOUSLY… LOL
Correct Xoom 2 review link. The OP link is for the Xoom 2 Media Edition.
