Just a heads up, cashout counts as spending. I've done it 2 times previously when I got coles cashback offers and both times I got the cashback

    • +1

      Great find

    • +4

If you do cash out in store at coles does it contribute to their spend x each week offers?

      Thanks

      • +3

You mean Flybuys offer? In that case, nope

        • Yeah meant flybuys. That would have neen good. My spend x offer keeps getting higher each time

          • +1

@tpenthouse: Have you tried activating but not meeting the spent x offer a couple of times? That seems to make it come back down - works for me but ymmv.

            • @jrvb42: Yeah kind of resets after a few weeks back to 4 weeks of $50. If there was a cheat way to beat the system would save the hassle of wasting time waiting

              • +1

@tpenthouse: There is. You open more accounts.

                • @Yola: Knew you could do that. Thinking more easily like buy a coles gift card or take cash out. Thanks

      • I guess this does not work, as Coles knows exactly what we have done with the order, unlike CBA or Amex

        • +5

CBA does know with cashouts, on your bank page it says how much of the transaction was a cashout. Still works for cashbacks but they'll probably fix it eventually.

          • @Ezio: Fingers crossed they cbb to fix it

    • Did your trick today. Will report back when confirmed

      • Cashback confirmed today. Thanks @zkreap

        • That's impressive.

I withdrew $50 twice over a week ago and it hasn't tracked. Then again, normal spend didn't track for me (or a number of others) last time in June.

  • +7

Meh I got the same old spend $100 get $10 back

    • +1

Just buy a Coles gift card. You would barely get 10% off Coles gift cards anywhere.

    • Yeah I got spend $150 for $15 back 😐

    • +7

      But wait… I got spend $100 with $5 back 🤦‍♂️

      • I got same offer

      • Yep same lol

  • +3

    I have $5 off $100 spend lol

    • Smae here lol

  • OP, is her CBA card on the Everyday Plus benefits or at the basic level? The former requires 30 transactions in past month.
The offers on Everyday (L1) tier aren't this generous usually

    • +2

      Basic. Same as mine

    • +1

Mine is 5+ eligible transactions last month.

    • +2

30 transactions is easy to do with split payments at supermarket self-checkout.

I have Everyday Plus but do not have this offer. I have spend $50 get $5 cashback.

      • +3

+1 I also have Everyday Plus but I feel like I’m getting fewer offers than when I was on Everyday tier. This time I only got spend $100 get $5 back

  • +1

I got spend $200 and get $30 back. Last time I go this, I ended up buying a fee free eftpos card.

I'll see if such a deal is back.

    • I got this one as well

  • I am with CBA, but I am not eligible for Yello. The FAQ page doesn’t explain either how to get access, does anyone know?

    • On the app, bottom right button. Don't think you need to apply or anything

    • +3

      Everyday (base eligibility criteria)

      You’re eligible if you:

Have an eligible CommBank transaction account; and
Complete 5+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible CommBank transaction or eligible CommBank credit card.

      • -1

Is there anything in particular that counts as a transaction? Does it include transferring money in and out?

        • +1

It is clearly explained in the FAQ

Which of my transactions count towards my eligibility?

You need to make at least five completed outbound transactions a month from an eligible account or credit card to be eligible for CommBank Yello (and at least 30 completed outbound transactions to be eligible for Everyday Plus or Homeowner benefits). The below outbound transaction types count towards your CommBank Yello eligibility:

          • Completed transactions made using a debit card or a credit card issued by CommBank, including transactions made by an additional cardholder and digital wallet transactions (but excluding cash advance transactions)
          • Completed StepPay purchases. Each completed purchase is counted as one outbound transaction, regardless of the number of instalment payments that are made for that purchase
          • Cash withdrawals at an ATM or CommBank branch; or
          • Payments or transfers to a third party:
            • Payments or transfers to an account where you’re the account holder, joint account holder or a cardholder are not considered a payment or transfer to a third party.
            • Payments or transfers to accounts that are associated with your customer record (but where you are not the account holder) are not considered payments or transfers to a third party. For example, if you’re a director of a business and make payments between your individual account and business account, or are a signatory or authorised third party on an account, including under a power of attorney

We may also from time to time consider other transactions to be outbound transactions.

It’s important to note that outbound transactions don’t include pending transactions, which are payments, cash withdrawals or deposits shown as pending on your account. You can view your pending transactions in the CommBank app or NetBank.

Streamline Basic and Business bank accounts are not eligible transaction accounts for CommBank Yello.

Have Streamline basic, guess thats why Im not eligible

  • +2

Mine is $5 back, $100 spend, CBa hates me.

  • Mine is $5 on $50 spend

    • I got the same

      • Me too, I am on basic.

  • +3

    I haven’t got anything.

  • Thx although I’m thinking of starting an ozbargain book of profanities. So far - up to, targeted, cap….

  • According to the app, I have "homeowner benefits", but I have never received any of these targeted deals.

    • Check if you have the More Telecom Offer. If not using I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

  • 10$ off from 100$ spent, lol

  • I have $30 cashback when spending over $100 or more 2 times. Living alone i dunno if i can do it by 28/08 though.

Read earlier comments. Just withdrawer $100 from the checkout

      • +1

Legend - thanks - i skimmed past the comments 🫡

        • +2

          Never skim.

          • +2

@Yola: So true. Sometimes I even found better deals posted in the comments lmao

            • +1

@foxes28: Yes, often and unexpected ways to stack.

Nothing for me. Stingy CBA for the billions in profit they are making and keeping, and not helping the country as much with cost of living, unlike others like Woollies, David Jones, Uber One, Menulog, Shopback/Westpac who’s somewhat doing a decent job.

At this rate, CBA may pivot towards sentiment Qantas was receiving when Joyce was around. Shameful.

    • +1

Seen this comment few times now lol. Bit of a strecth from not getting targeted to “not helping the country”, don’t you think

      • -2

No my point is most of the other merchants I mentioned above doesn’t have such strict targeting rules as CBA Yello. Further the amount of profit CBA is making in proportion to the deals they are giving out is an embarrassment compared to the profits the other merchants above are making. Based on this, one can distinguish between who’s a better merchant and who’s not.

        • Apple to orange comparison. Compared to the other big 4 banks, I’d say CBA has the best no-frills cashback offers. YMMV but in my experience Westpac Rewards has run dry (could be due to their partnership with Shopback). NAB Goodies barely has any offers while ANZ is probably the worst with nothing at all.

          • -1

@foxes28: Westpac is pretty much in partnership with Shopback which means their funding goes to SB deals rather than being reserved for Westpac Rewards.

I did not mention NAB or ANZ in my list of merchants above. Further, this is less about apples to oranges because it’s about proportion of profits to spending direction.

  • $25 off $150 spend here and only once.

    • This is the best one.
