25% Select Xbox Headsets + US$29.99 Delivery (e.g. Arctis Nova Pro Wireless ~A$460 Delivered) @ SteelSeries

XBOXDAYS25

Received by email just now - Steelseries are having a 25% off sale on all Xbox headsets except Arctis 5.

I checked the one I've been looking at recently - their top one, Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox & PC is ~$460 including shipping from USA, according to the Cart/Checkout page I just tried on their site, converted to AUD. I think this is the cheapest direct one I've seen for the Xbox AND PC version.

Nice deal though, that it is all their models, not just one.

I didn't buy it though, not in my budget for "today only" unfortunately, although if anyone felt generous … XD

Tried to submit this hours ago, but it wouldn't let me, so here goes again.

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox & PC is ~$460

I can't believe people pay this much for gaming headphones. The Microsoft wireless ones are great, and significantly cheaper.

Also congrats on your first post, OP.

Would much rather get a proper good pair of studio headphones, a standalone mic and a DAC/amp for the same or less price, It'll sound much better and you won't have to deal with Steelseries's god awful QC.

That being said their lower end headsets are nice for the price and a bit more durable

Of course, dedicated equipment is always better. But it's not a suitable setup for console or couch gaming, which is what this post is about.

      • Seriously. I'm still holding onto my ADG1X's to avoid going to a standalone/modmic. I can't imagine spending $460 from a 'gaming' company.

      • Agree. I do have a basic starter studios setup, but as guidedlight mentioned also, doesn't work at all for going between my PCs and Xbox (and phone). This also has unlimited battery life, as 20 hour swappable batteries changed in its base. Xbox or PC plus bluetooth at the same time, for game audio plus audio chat through phone etc. Dolby Atmos etc licences included. Specific game audio isolation and boost for things like directional footsteps/weapon sounds, which I don't use a lot, but is nice.

Also I actually have the Steelseries Apex Pro keyboard and Steelseries Prime Mini wireless mouse, so I already have the full software setup, nothing extra running required. And out of all the mechanical keyboards and mice I have (I've tried a lot over the years), these two are the best for me.
And you are right, I did have to return my first Apex Pro keyboard, but this second one has been going nearly 2 years strong.

        • Yeah, you're right. Honestly I'm not one to use a pair of wireless for console since I just use the 3.5mm on the controller itself, but now that I remember wireless on xbox isn't as easy as just getting any bluetooth device.

Used to have a pair of Arctis Pros (their top shelf before the Nova pro) and I had to get it warrantied twice because the hinges would fail and crack in the same spot. On the third replacement I just got fed up with it and got some Sennheisers.

          • @penguiniman: Ahh good to know. And yes I understand that issue.
Well I didn't buy them yet haha, cash wasn't ready on the flash sale, but will keep it in mind if/when I get a new set. I remember reading something about headsets cracking on hinges.

    • Thank you! I actually posted one before, but it seems got removed as "duplicate" to someone posted after but wasn't a "L" plater haha. But Thanks for the props!

And the price. Yes 100% expensive but the quality and features are very hard to find at even this price.
The Audeze Maxwell is about equivalent, and may be better. It is currently around the AUD $700 mark. And it is a "beginner" audiophile headset haha. They have other for thousands of dollars, without even the microphone or gaming connectivity. Heck I was reading about an audio cable. A single cable to connect to a speaker… for $150,000 AUD. A 2 meter Cable.

Oh, and I have a LucidSound wired headset which I love and only cost like $50, but it's getting old and I'd like a wireless one that lasts. I have very sensitive hearing.
