@jv If you read, that's the terms and conditions….

  • Is there an easy way to 'share' favorites and playlists between accounts?

    • +9

      something like

      log in to one account
move all liked songs into a playlist
      make the playlist public
      share a link to yourself

log in to a second account
go to the link you shared with yourself
follow/select all and add to a playlist

      • Perfect, thank you.

      • Ain't got time for that lol 😂 But I got the offer. I already have 2 other services, so it's hard to keep playlists.

      • Soundiiz website is great for syncing and transferring libraries between most streaming services.

  • Why not sign up for YouTube premium for $3 extra a month. And you get music/music videos and ad free YouTube.

Of course if you can sign up in another country via VPN it is even cheaper.

But why choose Spotify over YouTube premium when there is only $3 in it?

    • +3

This is a deal for the free first 3 months

    • +2

Why choose YouTube Premium when you can get Spotify for just another $1/month? Without considering VPNs too.

Absolute stupidest choice to make likes on YouTube added to your "Liked Music" in YT music. If I then turn off this setting, it shows no liked songs despite the fact I have liked them in YT Music. Still recommends me stuff based on "songs" it has heard in YouTube videos. Absolutely ruined the interface too.

    • +3

Because YouTube isn't worth paying for.

I'm pretty sure the only reason they have pixel phones turn the screen off when you have the screen facing down, or rather the reason they don't let you disable this action, is to force people to pay for YouTube to keep music running

Not sure why you got negged for the opinion, youtube premium and YouTube music is far better than spotify and also Apple Music like no comparison. The suggestions the library like spotify comes no where near it in any aspect, at least my experience

YouTube is always free without ads anyway.

Can it be cancelled straightaway after sigbup and still retain free trial for 3 months?

    • +7

Yes. You can cancel right away and the subscription stays until the 3 months is over.

      • great thanks, cancelled now

  • +2

does cancelling the trial immediately remove the payment method but retain the 3 months or do we have to cancel towards the end of the 3rd month to avoid being charged?

    • +5

You can cancel right away for peace of mind. Premium active for 3 months. Can confirm works.

      • +1

        Thanks for confirming

      • Seems like they change it if you cancel it will cancel immediately

        • No. I just canceled mine. And it says you will lose premium access on the date 3 months later.

    • Spotify still retains payment info even after cancellation and uses it to detect if you are a returning user wanting to create another trial account

      • Some credit cards offer a dynamic CVC number that changes every time to reduce risk with online purchases. I wonder if a different CSV number would change that, or if it's tied to the credit card number.

        • Some credit cards offer a dynamic CVC number that changes every time to reduce risk with online purchases.

          Example of such a card?

          • +1

@hashtagbargain: Westpac altitude card does this. The app has card details bit where the Cvc changes every day.

          • +1

@hashtagbargain: My Wise account can have 1 physical card + 3 virtual cards that can be deleted and get 3 new virtual cards again. Repeat ;-)

  • Anyone else having trouble paying with PayPal?
    ‘The payment method failed’

    • Same
And I’ve already used credit for another account so it won’t let me use it for a new one

  • Do they have lossless yet?

    • Not yet … I am still enjoying hi-res music on Amazon Music 5 months free trial.

  • Thanks OP

  • Time get a 27th new email account

You will own nothing and be happy….

I just realised something while searching for a card to use with this. Spotify tries to charge you on the 4th month multiple times all the while letting you retain premium. If you have a spare debit card lying around then you can technically extend it to a 4 month trial :)

    • My Wise account can have 1 physical card + 3 virtual cards that can be deleted and get 3 new virtual cards again. Repeat ;-)

      • Any monthly fees for that?

        • No

      • I am assuming it has worked for you with spotify. Revolut offers disposable card as well, but they have a different BIN and it didn't work for a subscription (not sure if it was with spotify though)

        • I haven't tried it with Spotify. But recently I tried the virtual card for Uber Eats free $20 new account, new phone number and different email with special referral code from other Ozb post. I used iPad (different device) as previously it hasn't been used for Uber etc.

        • Also Wise cards can be disabled in each card setting. So, transactions will fail if the card is disabled. Or delete the virtual card and get the new virtual card ;-)

I may be blind but nothing on the github page OR the actual website say what this is. I just know it's ad free, new features and freedom!!!!

edit - I overlooked these lines:

      […]
IF, you know what it means then you know what it is.
      […]
We decided to create an app where people can easily manage and install all versions of the music streaming app from their devices.
      […]

Rereading it, I guess it helps you install Spotify and other music playing apps from non-Google play 'trusted' sources, which … may be altered to remove paywalls/ads… and other unknown ways…

      Makes sense why it's ambiguous.

  • Any email and Credit card services without phone number verification to churn ( For these Trial Setups)?

  • Thanks OP. Tried to apply Coles MC for sign-up but alas. Zip single-use card worked

  • +1

Thanks OP. Just signed up a new one.

  • I just tried cancelling after signing up and it says, will loose premium benefits immediately.

    • thats a lie - keep moving thru the cancellation process/screens and it will say it a couple more times until you finally cancel and then after that you can see that the premium sub is valid till T + 3 months

      Enjoy!

  • Has Spotify cancelled your premium subscription after a day if you keep using different disposable cards on a platform like Revolut?

    • I have signed up for a new account twice and used a Revolut virtual card twice and it's gone through and I've gotten premium, but after a day I've been booted off of it. Has anyone else experienced this?

      • yup same here, any solution so far?
