Looks a bit different… not everyone will be a fan, but I like it.

Thanks for taking the time to post it !

  • @Chazzozz!!

Nice! I spent a while posting a deal for an Astron that is sub-$2K and it was unpublished due to insufficient quantity, so perhaps I'll need to console myself with this one instead.

    Starbuy: here is a deal

WATCH DEPOT: - and I took that personally.

A Seiko with sapphire glass? What's next, aligned bezel?
    Fk it, bought one.

      What's next, aligned bezel?

      Savage.

      But fair.

      • The bezels on these don't click, it just slides. So no Seiko bezel alignment lottery

        • It's okay. They're find a way to misalign the rehaut with the indices :)

      thank you.

  • Thanks @rosebank .. I took a bit too long to think when the Starbuy deal was posted and it was OOS by the time I went to purchase.

    Ordered one now.

  • I was so close to buying one of these in Japan for $400, but didnt bite the bullet as it wasnt Japanese made.

    $259 though sign me up.

      • +2

The whole reason I didnt bite in Japan was because it was a SRPG13K (made outside Japan), not J, and I figured I wanted to bring back a Japanese watch.

Surprised these are J's honestly, makes it so much more worth it. I didn't even check before rushing it through the checkout.

  • Very tempted, only hesitation is may be it's on the smaller side? 42.4mm

A King Turtle 47.7mm would have been perfect.

    • +4

      Has 42mm ever been small?

    • Lug to lug size is 45.2mm, usually takes up 75-95% of the width of your wrist, which is 47.58mm to 60.27mm wrist width. Classical style - go small, modern style (eg. smartwatches diameter 45-49mm) - go bigger.

The navy and faux-tina/cream look good together.

  • Damn too slow

    • Still available..

      • The original model isn't but the second colourway is.

  • Pulled the trigger on the blue one. Too hard to pass at $259 lol.

  • +1

Yes, blue still available - was happy to get for $259 delivered :)

    • how did you get the sign up bonus, ik it sounds stupid but does it take time to get emailed?

      • It's instant and coupon applies to cart.

      • Google watch depot vip club, you should be able to sign up and get the code from there. That's what I did earlier 😊

      • There was a popup on the bottom right of the page prompting me to sign up for a $20 voucher.
        It was auto applied too

      • thanks guys it didn't come up for me but 279 is still pretty damm good for a J seiko pulled the trigger!

  • What’s the actual normal price for these watches?

    • Normal retail at Watchdepot is $825.

      Also, now unavailable.

i'm seeing my shrink today. we've been working on resisting impulse purchases for 12 hours without offing myself to 24 hours. i hope i reach 7 days one day. stay strong homie

flipping low-end seikos helps me pay for my yacht maintenance, child support (multiple) and the retainer for my team of lawyers

    • I can see any other reason 😂😂

  • Got offered an SRPH17J instead by watch depot, worth it?

    • Does this have sapphire glass as well?

      • Their website listing literally tells you.
But yes I would go for that if they offered it to you for same price.

    • I got offered a SRPG17J instead

      • Yeah they went back on it and said they were meant to offer a SRPG17J, how is the watch compared to this ozbargin one? In terms of looks and value?

  • I got the watch 5 days ago. I like the compact and thin look of it. It is also quite light. I am glad I sold my Seiko SRPF77K and got this one. The first 24 hours, it was 8 seconds ahead (not worn), the second 24 hours, it went back to zero (worn), the 3rd and 4th went up to 3 seconds ahead/day (worn). So far the accuracy is much better than the SRPF77K which was 15 seconds late/day.
