      It is rarely posted on OzB =/= it rarely happens.

      Musashi very frequently goes 1/2 price. I've only been in Aus 7 months and have enough evidence in my shits and in my drawers of Musashi [alongside other bars], bought on several weeks in my first 3~ months here before I tapped out of buying them.

          @Mr Simple: I would honestly just buy INC WPI from Chemist warehouse when its on sale. $69 for 2kg. Best tasting chocolate whey after trying >10 flavors, and WPI is just clean.

          Other than that, Clear [hydrolysed] is a subset of WPI, if you find it at half price just buy it. Musclenation's and Myprotein do amazing fruity flavors for Clear protein - they taste like Sunkist (Zero) or other cordials, just without the fizz / sugar and same 80-90% protein.

          Both are far cheaper when at the discount than bars - bars taste horrible and don't have much protein/cal, with a lot of carb/fat and processing to boot. The taste (and then macros) is why they now sit in my drawers - I'd rather pay for either of the above than use them at this juncture.

          On the go or not, a scoop into a shaker or a tall glass is even more accessible.

            @Bisky1: Agree. People also get caught up on % protein and totally overlook the quality of protein. The protein bars are more like treats that likely do f. all. Most of the protein is garbage along with oils chemicals and fillers.
            But hey, feel less guilty than eating a chocolate bar or some other guilty treat.

            Perhaps just grab a can of tuna for approx 20grams, or for true quick absorption post workout nothing beats the powders in water.

            @Bisky1: One of the reasons i prefer to go with bars is the 45protein for $3 is fairly cheap. I cant use my blender at 4in the morning and wake the house up doing my protein shake.

            Your opinion on bars tasting horrible I cant get on board with seeing as 3/3 so far taste pretty damn good.

            A scoop into a glass wont mix very well. Also if you want something more filling a bar is a good go to instead of a water protein shake.

            Note: I've also got the wpi from the last sale as well.

            Youre never going to match Protein to $$ ratio with bars in comparison to powder. Convenience is the seller 90gram bar 300-350 calories

              @Cliffy93: Different strokes for different folks mate - I never had to use a blender with the ingredients I use 99% of the time [water, or hot/cold 2% milk+espresso+cocoa powder+vanilla]

              I get significantly better macros with either option in a vessel that to me is far better tasting and cleaner. If you genuinely like most protein bars, well, enjoy the superpower - their taste and the marketing being so far removed from reality is oft-memed.

              If you or anyone else is willing I will ship/sell all the BsC, Quest and Musashi's I have for like $2/bar, with them being 60-90g each. I have like 40-50 of the (profanity).

    Between Chemist warehouse and colesworth sales, I only ever buy protein bars when they're half price.

  Sometimes nothing beats gulping a blended mix of 5 raw eggs + some milk + some youghurt + some sugar free choc powder + a banana + little salt.

  Chemist warehouse do quite a lot of discounts like this and they have further 10% off if you buy 10.

  I go through a lot of these bars - today chemist warehouse said they would only price match 3 bars, never had this happen before. Previously they’ve happily priced matched multiple boxes…. Hopefully won’t be too long before CW has a 40 or 50% off musashi sale seems about due.
