Anyone found the texture of this has changed this year? Seems like it's no longer as heavy in cream & milk fat?

    • no

    • Should be pretty easy to confirm based on the ingredient and nutritional info I would have thought?

      Yes.

    • Probably, all the Drumsticks and Maxibon are "ice confection" now not legally ice cream main ingredients are water, sugar, oil now, they own Connoisseur too.

Lots of other stuff from China or weird places. Corporate greed knows no bounds. Will be hard to get milk based ice cream eventually.

    • I posted this elsewhere earlier in the year, but as the ingredients have definitely changed it's worth posting here too. Coles and Woolworths have different images available of the tubs with previous and updated ingredients to help compare the difference.

My favourite used to be the Raspberry & White Chocolate but it's clearly tasted more plain than it did a few years ago. Comparing the two images below, you can see the "updated" ingredients list indicates half as much white chocolate as before (8% vs 4%) as well as "Raspberry Juice (4%)" vs "Constituted Raspberry Juice (2.1%)" and Cocoa Butter 2.6% vs now 1.3%.

For all tubs except possibly Vanilla, "Dairy Ingredients" is now first/most prevalent ingredient instead of Cream, and the minimum milk fat % for the tubs has dropped from 11-13.5% to 10%.

You can see a similar comparison with the Belgian Chocolate flavour:

  • d'oh no longer applicable in VIC from the title update

    • I removed VIC from the title, because I searched a number of the VIC stores listed as participating retailers in the VIC Market Day terms and conditions and none of them were advertising any market day catalogues.

    • Why would Dan Andrews do this?
