This promotion is open to members that successfully activate the bonus offer as directed by Cashrewards (“Eligible Entrants”).             but it will work for convenience food store 5399 or Misc food store 5499 oh and 5541 service stations

            did you know the KFC over the counter has a different MCC than the kiosks…. Collin's Food Group is 5812 Restaurant and the Kiosks are 5814 Fast Food. KFC was a great way over the counter to spend all those 5812 gift cards like Good Food Card.

                    @Poor Ass: @Poor Ass,yes all that. It does let me register. But when I go back to open wallet and try to use it, keep asking me to verify card using CVV and it keeps failing. Try multiple 7/11 GC. Almost like Google wallet doesn't recognize that as card.

              @Poor Ass: MCC 5399 is for Miscellaneous General Merchandise Store. I thought that was not permitted on the 7-Eleven digital gift card. (If it was, it would mean you could use a 7-Eleven digital gift card on Amazon AU.)

              Convenience stores are supposed to fall under MCC 5499.

                Trail and error is the only way and if there is a chance it is 5812 then you would need to do it over the counter which means sometimes you'll miss out on those app only perks. Best thing is at KFC you can split as many cards are you want so you can use up all those low balance gift cards.

                If you use self serve it'll always be 5814

                If you ever go Costco and use the Kiosk for food court they will be fast food 5814….. but if you order over the counter it will be Wholesale Club (I think) and food GCs won't work

    The only issue with CR gift card is that they reject Coles Prepaid Credit Card, which makes the whole thing unattractive without the extra 7.5% discount.

    Ampol 6% at shopback + 7.5% Coles Prepaid Credit Card = 13.5%
    2% CR 7-11 + 10% bonus = 12% only, meh

      You should be able to use the Liquor gift card to purchase a Coles Group & Myer gift card in-store at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor or Vintage Cellars (as long as the staff member lets you do that). The last time I went to buy a Coles Group & Myer gift card at Vintage Cellars, the staff member demanded I present ID and a physical payment card with matching names.

      It is probably fine to use the Liquor gift card to purchase a gift card in-store at BWS and Dan Murphy’s, except I have only seen BWS and Dan Murphy’s gift card sold at their respective stores for a few years now. Have you seen a WISH gift card sold at BWS or Dan Murphy’s lately?

          To be fair, that was not a big deal, because I was actually trying to take advantage of an AMEX cashback offer at Vintage Cellars (so this would have been about three years ago). I was wanting to use my digital AMEX card, as my physical AMEX card was cracked and had a corroded chip, but the staff member forced me to use the physical card.

              I also churn through a Visa/Mastercard credit card every 9-12 months.
