Hey Oz Bargain Community,

Below I ramble a bit, so if you're flat chat just skip to the bold for the deal.

I know the economy has been a little shaky over the last few months and every time you see a paper or news it's like someone keeps hitting the "panic stations" button. If this worries you, please try not to let it get you down. First, when the news says "everything is wonderful" people turn it off, but when the news says "we're in trouble…" people can't help but watch. I'm not implying the news makes things up, simply that negative news generally outsells positive news and news as a whole is a "for profit" industry. Second, history does repeat, the economy can only grow so much without a pull back, generally a pull back lasts 1-2 years (we've been in a pull back for some time now) and then there's usually 10+ years of growth and prosperity. An example of history repeating, whenever the economy gets in trouble the Government print money, this decreases the value of money, thus people invest in things of perceived higher value. Usually this translates to the stock market crashing, Governments printing money, people investing in the stock market and thus it rises (this is in no way financial advice, just a comment on history). As long as this valley bottoms higher than the last valley, the global economy should be in a state of rise over time. For the last ~100 years the world has had a tremendous amount of growth. Accounting for inflation the global GDP has growth roughly 25 times in the last 100 years,, which mean an average of the global GDP doubles every 4 years. Third, always remember "this too shall pass." If the recent news cycle has you concerned, make yourself a holiday in a cup AKA a coffee, put the news out of your mind and simply take a 5 minute break.

There's being a notable uptick in full-priced orders of our Thank You Blend over the last month. The deal of tomorrow is promised to noone. Today I can bring back one of our most loved deal, it's my way of saying Thank You for your continued support, we'll never take you for granted and no matter what happens in the near future with the economy we'll do our utmost to ensure you can always enjoy a delicious holiday in a cup without breaking the bank :)

We're offering you a 49% discount off our wonderfully delicious Thank You Blend,, only $22.70 per 1kg (usually $44.50 per 1kg).

Deal valid for orders placed until 21/08/2024, unless sold out before. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and as far as the last Thursday in October (31/10/2024). :)

  • Great coffee

    • Thank you, terrific to hear!

  • Super! Here’s hoping you get another batch of 1/2 strength MTM done as well, that is a wonderful blend suitable for a late arvo cuppa!

    • Morning @Chazzozz terrific to know this deal's caught your attention!

Fantastic to hear our Half Strength Full Flavour Moments to Memories is a real winner for you. Clearly I had a glitch AKA "A Tom Glitch," the product SKU is meant to be on the site, apologies and appreciate the gentle nudge. It's back on the site now, so please feel welcome to fire off an order or two :)

      • Thanks, I can add some to my order as I’m running low.

        • Sounds perfect!

Thank you so much for another terrific combo order :)

Got the email, love the Sao Paulo Brazil single origin.

    PS. 3x $22.70 = $68.10 (90c short of free delivery 🙃)

    • Yeah definitely needs to up the price a little to get the free delivery, also what beans are in the blend?

      • Yes, as 5 x 500g bags @ 40% usually works out well ie. $75 with free shipping.
Can confirm the beans freeze well!

        • Do you freeze the bag as it came?

          • +1

@Robot16: yes, why not. Too easy!

These Coffee Vac containers from amazon are great too, keeps beans fresh for longer when opened.

            • @G-rig: I bought this last night

Coffee Canister Airtight 35OZ Large, 2.2 lbs Coffee Storage Container Stainless Steel Air Tight Coffee Jar with Scoop, Date Tracker and CO2 Release Valve for Beans, Ground, Tea, Flour and Sugar, 2.8L https://amzn.asia/d/2ld4Buq

              • @sqheaven: Those look alright hey, 2.8L is massive.

I was happier spending $23 on the plastic one I bought though, essentially the same thing.
Good having one none the less.

                • +1

@G-rig: I just checked again, it was 1.8L same brand and color. I paid 20 + 6 shipping.

                  https://www.mydeal.com.au/stainless-steel-airtight-coffee-ca…

There was a 40% TCB yesterday, this canister was free for me actually lol

The amazon listing says that 2.8L is for 1 kg of beans, so it makes sense why it is so popular. I would keep 500g in this can and 500g frozen lol

                  • @sqheaven: cool, there's no way I'd pay $80+ or whatever.

yep, 500g is enough in that container i got and fits well, rest frozen.

            • @G-rig: Oh awesome. I always transferred to a zip lock bag.
I didn't realise you could pop it straight in the freezer!

              • @Robot16: I assume you can, aren't those bags it comes in kind of sealed?
ps. I've kept some of the 500g bags, handy if i get a kilo of aldi stuff and freeze half.

                • @G-rig: Yep, they are sealed. Good info to know! I'll be using these from here on out

    • +1

yeah agree. I'm sure there is some pricing point to it but would be great if there was something you could add (like chocolate coated beans or 250g Biscoff pack for $5 or something) to tip 3 x 1KG over, or just bump the price to $23. I don't have space for 4KG, paying for delivery on 3KG when so close feels odd, so i'll probably end up with 2KG + delivery or just stick with Aldi.

      • Yeah Aldi are fine, and just get the 40% off beans when you can/want (2.5kg gets free delivery for about 75$), no point freezing too many kg.

      • +1

        Morning @su3050 appreciate the feedback!

Coffee is always the focus of our deals and we strive to put our best value for money foot forward. Although it's not viable to alter the pricing of this deal, there's a number of solutions which should hopefully achieve the outcome you desire. You could simply split an order with family, friends, neighbours or colleagues, which is something a number of our customers do. Another solution would be to order 2kg of our Thank You Blend via this deal and 500g of another coffee we have at regular price, which would cost from $70.65 depending on which type of 500g coffee you ordered. Hope this is a win-win solution for both of us :)

    • +1

Yep that was a road block for me too…

      3x $22.70 = $68.10 (90c short of free delivery 🙃

      thats how sales works!

  • Thanks! Another ripper deal from Lime Blue!

    • Absolute music to my ears, wrapped to know we're in your good books with this deal :)

  • Thanks, Tom. Been waiting for this blend to go on sale

    • Terrific to hear, glad it's been worth the wait :)

  • Your Brazil that I had yesterday is the best Brazil I have ever had. The coffee was nice too.

    • Fantastic feedback to receive, thank you so much for your orders and sharing that uplifting vote of confidence!!!

  • Every coffee I've had from you guys has been great.
Not sure which one I prefer!

    • Absolute music to my ears, thank you truly for your orders and continued supports, they really do mean so much!!!

We'll keep working hard to make each one a favourite of yours in its own unique way :)

    Bring back the Tim Tam!

    • +4

Never hurts to ask @PandaJZ :)

There were a number of reasons we switched from complimentary Tim Tams to complimentary Lotus Biscoff. Primarily there were two reasons:

First, flavour. We found Tim Tams were great to pair with chocolatey and sweet earth coffees, but overpowered, thus diminished the flavour of coffees that were more fruit, floral or with higher acidity levels. At the end of the day our focus is trying to make our coffee as delicious as possible.

Second, we were finding the complimentary Tim Tam system didn't scale well. We were receiving an albeit small, but growing number of people requesting they not get a Tim Tam for one reason or another. The complimentary treat system only really works well if we can include one with each order, otherwise it slows down operations, which overtime would cause our costs to increase and I'm sure people wouldn't be too happy with a complimentary item if it caused our coffee prices to go up. 90% of the reasons some people couldn't have Tim Tams has been solved by switching to Lotus Biscoff. On several occasions we had supply issues with Tim Tams. Lack of supply caused us to run around town trying to source bridging stock until new/delayed shipments arrived. We also experienced an ever growing issue from the Tim Tam manufacturer, to the point we we'd have to return entire boxes.

We're honestly excited about the move to Lotus Biscoff, so one you try one with your coffee we hope you'll love them too :)

      • Thanks Tom - here's a vote for Biscoff

        • Woohoo for Biscoff @cmc :)

    • +1

Just have a tim tam with your coffee??

Was waiting for the Brazil SO but this should do me for a while. 2kgs ordered ;)

    • Thank you so much for another terrific order, it's truly appreciate and I've got my fingers crossed you love this one as much as our Brazil SO!

  • Really enjoyed the Monocle Blend. How does this one compare? Only for espresso. Thanks

    • +1

I think this blend is best with milk

    • +1

Hey @hen dawg always better to ask than wonder :)

If you enjoyed our Special Monocle Blend then I believe you'll love our Thank You Blend, it's delicious for both black and milk based coffees!

The main differences you'll notice is our Thank You Blend has a slightly higher acidity kick and more clear fruit notes in the aroma and finish of the cup :)

  • +1

Lovely to have real quality coffee on offer that isn't so shitty that it needs to hide behind a ridiculous meme.

    • Fantastic to know this deal's a real winner for you!

I promise we'll keep working hard to stay in your good books :)

  • Great coffee and I must mention your delivery rates are AWESOME.

    • Absolute music to my ears on both counts :)

Thank you so much for the uplifting vote of confidence!

  • Brought 4 bags as I want to to save free shipping. Well played but thank you for the deal. Also love the intro :)

    • Amazing order, thank you so much!!!

Wrapped to know the wording and deal are both winners for you :)

  • First time trying, look forward to it :)

    • Terrific, thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it's truly appreciated and an opportunity I promise we won't take for granted!!!

  • Great timing. Running out of beans soon and happy to give this a try.

    • Wonderful to hear, love it when the timing lines up nicely!

Thank you so much for your order :)

@LimeBlueCoffee Any chance you will bring back the Geisha for filter coffee in near future? Or can you do some good deals for light roasted coffee as well? I am keen on both milk based and filter coffees :). Thanks!

    • +1

I'd also love to try some light roasted beans - TA!

  • Any blends/SO that's roasted darker than Memories or Thank You Blend?

    • Hey @Lange never hurts to check!

From a technical roast profile perspective we don't have anything we roast to a darker profile right now. I say "technical" because we do have coffees that looks darker, but aren't a darker profile, they're just simply darker as a result of their specific processing e.g. a Natural or Swiss Water Decaf processed coffee. I still might be able to help point you in the right direction. Are you looking for more chocolate notes, lower acidity, more bitterness or ..?

  • Hi Tom, love the coffee and also love Biscoff, so great work there.
My sister just made an order of the Thankyou blend yesterday, is there anyway she can get it at the 49% off price or is it too late?

    • +1

Hey @Puffmellows outstanding to know we're in your good books, I've got my fingers crossed we're still there after you read the rest of my response :)

First, thank you to your sister for her order, it does mean a lot!

Second, we get full-priced orders every single day, so although we often add discounted products to existing orders from customer requests, these additions are for new SKUs to be added to their order. I think it would be unfair on all the people that have paid full-price to edit an existing order by switch a like for like product from full price to a discount. Although I think my action in doing so would be unfair, I think your request on behalf of your sister is very reasonable and very considerately worded, so thank you.

Third, although I do not encourage the following, it should achieve the outcome your sister desires, while still being fair to all the other Lime Bluers. Assuming your sister's order has not dispatched, she could send a reply email to her order confirmation referencing this message and requesting we cancel/refund her order. I'm not sure when her order is scheduled for dispatch, but I can see full-priced Thank You blend with dispatch spots reserved for tomorrow, so if she has one of these spots, she'll need to get in touch ASAP. Once the order is cancelled, your sister is then welcome to place a new order via this deal, of course by cancelling she's forfeit her reserved dispatch spot if the current order is set for dispatch prior to Monday, which is currently the next available. I know this may seem like semantics and me being difficult, but I promise it's not. By trying to keep things fair for all we'll actually lose money, as payment processors don't refund transaction fees to us when we refund orders to customer.

Fingers crossed my short novel is more help, than hassle and we're still in your good books :)

    • It's a no from me for the biscoff, has been a crumbly mess due to delivery.

Bring back the Tim Tam's 😂😂

    • K

    • Yeah, so annnnnnoyyyying right? I pinged Tom about a pretty much identical gap before free shipping and then read that Lime Blue subsidises shipping already. Pretty hard to be angry about it after that and the coffee as we know is very decent value as it is. Sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue. In this case, everyone at Ozbargain is a caffeine-addicted pigeon and the statue is the head of Nescafe covered in a mountain of birdshit. Win win.

  • Thank you.

    • :)

  • Hi @LimeBlueCoffee,
Like so many comments here I also love all the coffee you've sent!
But i must have missed that you don't grind the beans anymore as I don't see that as an option to choose. Can you please confirm/advise?

  • Hey @LimeBlueCoffee / Tom,

I've been drinking Seven Seeds House Blend after a trip to Melbourne and loving it… Does LBC have anything similar to this? https://sevenseeds.com.au/collections/coffee/products/seven-…

    • Hey @Chuppa appreciate you taking the time to reach out and show interest in us!

Generally speaking we don't comment on other companies as we like to sail in our own direction. Perhaps if you describe the flavour profile you're looking for I can help point you in the right direction :)

Ideal acidity level, low, medium or high? Ideal sweetnness, low, medium or high? Black or milk based coffee? Filter or espresso? Primary flavour, chocolatey, fruity or somewhere in the middle?

      • Totally understand, but honestly have no idea what I really like until I try it. The descriptors for coffee are just crazy 🫣. I do milk in the morning and black for the rest of the day.

  • Any way we can get this in 2 x 500g bags?

  • Oh, I saw this and bought for first time via email, I didn't realise you were an OzBargain favourite. My first time trying, if it's as good as OzBargainers say, I'm sure it won't be the last.

    • Morning @kiriakoz love every part of your message!!!

Thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it's sincerely appreciated and an opportunity we won't take for granted :)

  • Hey mate I’ve sent you an email, can you please check ?

    • Hey @sauce2k appreciate the check in!

I think I'm up to date with any time sensitive emails, but if I've somehow missed your please send a reply to the message as that'll skyrocket your email to the top of the inbox :)

  • Do you sell ground coffee? Or only beans? Thanks

    • Just get a hand grinder from Amazon, or ground shit at the supermarket, or instant.

  • Hmm. I just got a bag from aldi. And I don't want to pay shipping. So… How long can I freeze them for without losing much quality?

    • +1

Hey @nuttapillar terrific to know our deal have caught your eye!

In the bag the coffee will stay fresh while frozen for months. If pre-portioned and vac sealed freshness while frozen can last more than a year. Don't forget our unique scheduled/delayed dispatch system, so you can secure the deal pricing today but scheduled your order to be dispatched as far into the future as 31 October :)

      • Thank you, useful info.

        • :)

      • +1

The sad part is that 3 bags is only 91 cents away from free shipping. So I'd have to get 4 bags and spend over $90 to get the free shipping on beans.

        • More than one way to skin a cat :)

You could simply split the order with a friend or simply order 2kg Thank You and 500g of another order at regular price total will be around $71 so it'll unlock free shipping for you. Hope this helps!
