amazon has closed the loophole for regional buyers. poop

It’s an absolute joke from Amazon. How dare people outside of the city try and order anything whilst paying for Prime! 😱

      • +1

Imagine thinking that paying a few dollars per year entitles you to delivery to your remote house

        • -1

Shhhh ozb don't think like that 😅

Imagine thinking that paying a few dollars per year entitles you to delivery to your remote house

Silly me paying for a service that is offered for years and then changed suddenly without any communication or consistency from Amazon with what they will and won’t deliver.

I forgot that it doesn’t cost Amazon anything to deliver to a metro location as no one along the line gets paid at all.

        • +3

Remote house? You don't even need to be remote, just outside of the capital cities.
And imagine this - I can buy a wavy edge knife for $5.90 with free delivery to my "remote house" yet can't get a pack of shit paper for $22 like I could before.

Yes, it is hard enough to buy anything 4 hours North of Adelaide. Will need to plan in big shops at the next Aldi (1 hour 15 minutes drive). Very poor decision of Amazon, but I guess they don't care.

      • Based on $116/4hr that amazon pays for the driver, imagin how much that gonna cost Amazon for 4hr round trip? Lol

        • Just don't do express shipping/quota shipping. Once a certain amount of stuff is in a postcode then ship out to that postcode free of charge, that's the least they could do (assuming it's paid only shipping now)

          • -1

@Some Random Guy: At that rate, person who is 4hr away wouldn't get there toilet paper for years.

I know people like to winge here, but amazon is a business and model is designed for highly populated areas. It would be interesting to see how Amazon handles the regional shopping in US/Canada.

I only buy the Gold variant these days. My arse almost insists on it.

Bloody hell Amazon stop screwing regional Australia, sick of it

    • -2

It’s probably Australia Post rather than Amazon…

    • +5

You think it makes sense driving 50 km to your house to drop of $20 worth of toilet paper.

      • +5

I dont know why you're downvoted, it's ridiculous

      • So by that logic, they should remove all toilet paper like the 6 pack for $8? And everything on the site for under $28?

      • They don't use their drivers. They just give them to auspost or most likely Toll.

Just wondering if there is toilet paper that gives off less "dust".
When I poop under the sunlight I can see that huge puff of fine dust coming off the toilet paper. I believe this is the thing to convict for the dust accumulation.

Sure it's not the remnants of a line?

      Poop at night

  • Apples ti oranges but if anyone is closer to an IGA, Kleenex 9pk are $4 ea atm, a bit cheaper per roll.

    • +2

kleenex breaks apart when you wipe with one fold, you need triple fold and it just barely holds on, quilton one fold no issues at all

  • I think Amazon purposefully didnt put this back in stock at a decent price, until their 20Prime promo was over. Knowing how many people get this item.

    at 25c per 100 sheets,

..if you use 8 sheets per sheet, that works out at about 2c per sheet…

    just my 2c worth

  • Is this cheaper then the aldi confidence?

  • ALDIs Confidence 3 ply toilet paper is actually Quilton. 24 pack at Aldi is only $10.69.

    So….buy Confidence 3 ply instead!

  • Amazon back in stock.

  • Great pick up!

  • Just wondering how does this compare to the Costco 48 pack? The Kirkland brand.
    Anyone?

    • Buy first, think later…
      before it's too late…

  • Hopefully they maintain the quality of their toilet paper.
What theyve done to their facial tissue was absolutely horrible. Feels stiff, hard and the tissue doesnt hold and keeps dropping into the box.

    Avoid at all cost.

  • Price increased to $25.25 :(

    • It has gone back down again. Amazon are really weird, I have noticed it go up for a little bit but then drop back down again shortly after.
