My friend, you literally scammed them. That’s not a good deal. That’s a scam. And certainly not something that should be applauded on here….
Not a scam. Not at all. During the device swap the site literally said to pick which model for the swap. The only model offered was the 5g 1TB model. selected it and paid. They offered, we complied.
Besides, when I did a mobile refresh for my s23 U a year ago, they said it would be a 3 business day turnaround. Took them a month.
Asurion are the scam. Any win against them is a plus.
You can rationalise it all you want, but what reason did you have for returning the original? (Other than exploiting a glitch in their system for a free upgrade)
@Bruceflix: All up, you received about $2k worth of goods you didn't pay for (with the upgrade and keeping the original). That's a scam. And the fact the target of your scam is morally bankrupt, might make everyone involved FEEL a little bit better about themselves, but doesn't make it any less of a scam. I'm happy for you that it all worked out, but it's not behavior that should be condoned on this website (in my opinion).
@ASR-Briggs: By following their T&C AND what was offered on their website is not a scam. They write the T&C, not me. Followed it to a tea. At no point did I relay anything to them in a dishonest way. I never lied or even stretched the truth. Even after the device swap fee was paid, it went into a "pending review" state. Presumably they reviewed it and agreed.
Asurion (multi billion dollar private company) run Samsung Care+. They offered the upgrade on their website. For them to back track after it was approved (by them) would have been a scam.
This isn’t a great price. Been way cheaper according to ozbargain and tab S10 is expected to be released around October
Agreed, hence why I’ll wait for prices to come down with closer to S10 release. Still a $350 discount is pretty good for those who can’t wait or urgently needs one.
Rumors pointing towards tab s10 being discontinued and only plus and ultra models being released and potentially a mediatek processor..I’ll just leave it at that.
If you get this be sure to look into samsung care+. Got a s9 ultra wifi 256gb with the JB deal a couple of months ago and it registered on care+ as the 5g 1TB model due to their bugged out website. Did a device swap immediately and after some back and forth emails they honoured the upgrade, refunded the device swap fee and have no obligation to return the original device.
