How do we all feel about Dickies?

    • +5

The last deal at $17.85 for 6 socks was really good. Loving their socks atm

      • Currently $16.52 for Comfort Length Black, whatever that means, for size 5-9.
Gotta reduce that pair matching time :-)
        edit: These are 70% cotton.

I love dickies on my feeties

        great foot job.

      • +4

A select few love the reverse

        • +3

          They've found their solemates!

    • Bought 12 pairs in previous deal, best socks ever!

  • +3

Are they good for office? My feet get warm and not looking for thick socks

    • +1

I'm the same. Bought some Macpac hiking socks and my feet get hot and sweaty which causes blisters.
Now I've reverted back to cheap cotton socks to prevent my feet overheating

  • Now 3% claimed, I wonder how much of that is OzB

  • cheaper than costco

  • It’s hit or miss for me. The ankle size ones became loose after 1st use

    Bought two packs last sale
Can't say I'm the biggest fan actually

    Very thick
The part synthetic material doesn't feel as good as pure cotton
    "Moisture control" just seems gimmicky
    YMMV

    • Yeah, much thicker material than I expected. Not my style.

  • socks for our Dxxxick???

good to have spares under the bed in case the regular one is in the wash!

  • Thanks op, bought the black ones. Got some from the last deal and really like them! Super comfy and they have some nice cushion.

I prefer apple pie over these…

    • As long as it's warm

  • Wear these regularly. No complaints. Bought more now, thanks OP

    Thanks OP.

I reluctantly ordered a set. I usually don't have much luck with online sock orders and, in any case, K-Mart & BW do my favourite socks at a price usually much better than AmazEbay.

Anyhoo, went to check out and it says Zero Charge (Amazon Gift Card). No idea where that came from but I'll take it in the spirit of Ozbargain.

    Again, thanks.

  • Wonder why the bigger sizes never go on special

    • Many claim to have big feet but few actually do so it's a small market.

  • There are no shows ones on sale as well..

I really like the Dickies socks I got through the deal a few weeks ago. Highly recommended.

  • Thanks OP got it

good price but i think having different colours defeats the main benefit of buying socks in bulk

    • +1

the matching is a chore in itself

    • +1

didn't think of that and now i have buyers remorse

  • These or Puma?

  • Are these good for running? I've been using Kmart 5 packs low cut sports socks for $8 for all of my running and it's been great.

  • Awesome work socks!

  • +5

You can get 12 pairs for $30.78. Replace your entire set!

A shorter Quarter version of these socks (Solid Black colour) is also available for $28.62 for 12 pairs https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09BVYWPTT

A better buy IMHO as it has 70% Cotton vs 43%, and cheaper too.

It’s worth investing in merino wool socks imho. They’ll keep your feet warm even if you sweat and the natural material won’t make your feet stink.

  • Won’t these cause your feet to be sweaty and smell due to being 55% polyester?

  • Bonds explorer socks are my choice

    • I'd bought up on Explorer socks when they've been half price at Woolies over the last year or so. Which have been okay in my boots, but a bit thick for my regular shoes (sneakers). But then got some of these Dickies (well, the 3.0 version if there's any difference) from one of the previous deals and I've stopped wearing my Explorer socks now lol.

For me the Dickies are overall a bit thinner, so fit in my normal shoes better, but still with padding in the right places (actually feel a bit supportive) to make my boots comfortable. So I'd say they're a pretty reasonable product at the sale price. Not sure how long they're going to last though…
