This stuff is magical, I swear. I have used it for years across several vehicles. When used correctly it gets rid of so many scratches. I reckon I have no trouble selling my cars because of this stuff.

Everyone should have this. Also consider getting the little pack of foam applicators for it too.

  • Will this actually fix up scratches? Is a rotary machine necessary for the best result? Also anyone know if it's safe to use on ceramic coated vehicles?

    Lots of questions sorry lol

Yes, no, yes - but that spot will have the coating removed.

Will this actually fix up scratches?

Fixing scratches involves levelling/removing the pain surrounding the scratch until the surround paint is level with the scratch. Compounds/polishes are a gritty substance that removes the paint.

Is a rotary machine necessary for the best result?

No - in fact rotary machines are rarely used in detailing nowadays. They're too prone error. Dual Action polishers are more commonly used.

You can absolutely polish manually using applicator pads/towels but it's hard work.

Also anyone know if it's safe to use on ceramic coated vehicles?

Anything safe to use on vehicles is safe to use on ceramic coated vehicles. The question is more "will the ceramic still be there" and the answer is no - compounds remove the paint, ceramic is just a chemical layer on top of the paint. You need to remove the ceramic coating before you can remove the paint.

      • thanks for the detailed response!

  • Really good price and product. Purchased a few years ago during a sale and am sure it was more expensive than this price.

You can use a hand applicator pad however would recommend a DA polisher for best results.

I remember when I bought my SVS PB13-Ultra subwoofers in gloss piano black for my home theatre a little over a decade ago, the manufacturer SVS recommended this Meguiar's product if the finish of the subwoofers ever got scratched, and they recommended another Meguiar's car product for cleaning the subwoofers.

  • Product is good
    Price is good
Seller isn't good (have just this morning had to initiate eBay refund via online help as items haven't been dispatched and zero reply or response from seller and unable to cancel order and no tracking details received)

Unsure whether this can constitute a neg on the deal, definitely the seller needs a Neg

    • When did you buy it?

I think that's an appropriate time frame to at least receive a tracking number/note

        • I have had longer with Sparesbox and Automotive Superstore. I never buy from them when I am in a hurry.
I think my record is over a month.

    • Repco and Sparesbox are owned by the same company
      https://gpcasiapac.com/

    • They are Repco clones. Maybe try doing a price match and buy at your local store ?

      • Same owner, same supplier, same stock. In store at Repco they need to cover the cost of the retail outlet
