These don't sit in or over the ear canal, but don't need to press against your skull like bone conduction. Great for cycling or running. I've got a pair and they're supremely comfortable compared to bone conduction or in-ear, and stay on your ears really well.

There's also F2 model for about $40, which wraps around your neck https://www.amazon.com.au/Headphones-Conduction-Microphones-…

  • I have the first version of these, looks like they fixed some of the complaints about the first version (massive case, IPX4)
Pretty good for wearing while running etc

I have the Truefree open ear , very good use everyday

    • What's wrong with my comment?

    • Also got them. These are the best earphones I ever had. Comfortable, barely noticeable, excellent sound quality and they don't block ambient sounds, which is great for WFH.

1 hr 15 mins to charge ???? Excellent

    • I think talking about the dock

      • Can you talk to the dock ? Lol

        • The dock needs 1 hr 15 mins to recharge

Truefree? I can't see $0 on title lol

  • There's also F2 model for about $40

Had F1 last year, and died within 2 months. Fortunately it's an easy return/refund from Amazon. Not sure whether they fixed the problem with F2 (mainly fake IPX rating).

    • My F1's died a couple of months ago after 2-3 years of use. Battery no longer holds a charge. Annoying, but you get what you pay for. I think the IPX rating on the O2s will be better as they are touch controls instead of buttons, and no USB port. Though touch controls suck when wearing gloves.

I used my Truefree F1 for running so the main issue was sweat proofing — might be an issue with open ear as a vent is needed to deliver the sound. Touch control is also useless when you are drenched with sweat (yes I sweat a lot). So these days I pretty much only use bone conduction headphones with buttons designed for swimming (IPX8, as I've also killed a few IPX6 bone conduction ones).

        • While not the same model, I had the same issue with Oladance OWS sports and OWS 1. Sound quality got nuked because of sweat ingress. Moved back to bone conduction after that

  • I'm wondering if these would be comfortable while wearing glasses?

    • +1

O1 are comfortable. I use them daily.

    • I used mine yesterday with glasses, they were comfy. Didn't even notice the earphones

      • they were comfy. Didn't even notice the earphones

Same, can wear it whole day

    • I wear Oladance OWS 1 which is a similar shape with sunglasses. They fit fine and you can't even feel the headphones

FYI, the driver diameter of O2 is 15mm, but its previous version O1's driver diameter is 16.2mm which make its sound louder than the O2 in a noisy environment.

“Press against your skull for bone conduction”? Ummm… I have Shokz bone conduction runners. They just sit gently on your upper jaw. There’s no pressing. And incredibly comfortable for hours for running and cycling. What bone conducting headphones are you referring to?

  • received this yesterday and must admit they're quite good - been using airpods so looking forward to multipoint (and being able to hear my wife)
