Have seen these around for years, maybe even before the 2000s, but have never talked to someone who can provide real feedback, but for $8 I'm willing to give it a try before i upgrade to a real swing machine
I've had one (not this one) and it was worthless. I can't think of any job I would have rather used it for rather than a hand stitch. Constantly getting jammed, losing tension, etc. maybe there is a sweet spot of material thickness that would make it work but I never found it.
Absolute garbage, complete landfill fodder
I've had one. A needle and thread would do a better job than this thing.
I ended up giving it to charity. How charitable do I feel now?
Little Annie hates you now
The Spotlight reviews are there, not a good overall score. 2.4★
Landfill I would sayI've always seen these and wondered what they are like and how well they work. As someone who has two proper sewing machines and an overlocker and makes a lot of clothes and household items - if I'm in spotty, for $8 I'll grab one and let you know if they're as terrible as I've always thought they might be!
For that price 😳 I may as well try my luck with the hems on my pants
These aren't even worth the box they come in, I wish they would stop selling this crap so I could stop processing refunds for them breaking or just plain not working on the first use.
Thankyou commenters for saving me from this disappointment.
Any good (whoever has used this) vs Landfill ?
