[PC, Steam] Humble Choice August 2024 (Incl. SIFU, High on Life, Gotham Knights & More) - $16.95/Month @ Humble Bundle

460

As much as Humble's publishing division is on the rocks (after the recent news of mass layoffs), the games for Humble Choice this month is pretty neat.

For this month, you can get:

  • SIFU
  • High on Life
  • Gotham Knights
  • BLACKTAIL
  • Astral Ascent
  • Diluvian Ultra
  • Universe for Sale
  • This Means Warp

Even though some of these have been on sale here and there, this is a great deal to get all of them to keep on Steam (along with the other benefits that Humble Choice has)

how are you getting a conversion rate of $16.95 per months when it's $11.99USD per month? Current conversion rate brings it to $18.39AUD

I think if you change your billing to AUD from USD its $16.95

      • +2

This. Humble Bundle has offered local currency options for a few years now, in most cases it's cheaper than paying in USD.

    • +1

Not OP but I get $16.95.

    • Best to use a card with no international transaction fees. (I know it's not directly relevant to your comment, but seemed like the best place to put it for people to see).

  • Is this a subscription like gamepass?

    • +1

It does have a library of games you can play all the time like gamepass, though the monthly games you get to keep even after you cancel your subscription

    • +9

not really, it's more like a monthly games hamper. You get to keep the items from a given month you've subscribed.
Membership also gives you a store discount up to 20% for a year's continued subscription.

      • Pretty much what Commodore64 said.

      • +1

Yeah the main part is the lineup of games you can keep but if you download the Humble app you get access to 'The Vault' which is a collection of games you can download and play like Game Pass.

  • +3

You can also just cancel straight away after redeeming the games in Steam, so essentially $16.95 for the games listed. Which going by previous ATL's of SIFU and High on Life, its a good deal.

    • +1

That you can, just sharing this around for those who see this month's line-up as a good deal like I do.

  • +2

It's a shame some would have missed out on this deal from a week ago, which would have made it monthly AUD $11.95.

I was about to post that link earlier but then found out that it expired.

    • Yeah but then I would have had to have paid for last months which didn't have anything of interest for me

    Astral Ascent is legit!!

Game is like Dead Cells and Hades rolled into one, so good!

    • That alone has sold me since I had it on my Steam wishlist :D

Only got around to playing 'Sifu' recently and I gotta say…what a tremendous experience.

IMHO very few games masterfully blend story, aesthetics and mechanics around the core experience quite like 'Sifu'.
ie. Is one life enough to know Kung Fu?

It has a steep learning curve but you can go full 'Matrix - Neo' when you get the hang of it. (That is, without the sci-fi/Superhero chicanery).

    • +1

I am honestly considering getting this for Sifu alone, been interested in it for a long time

      • Don't think you will regret it.
I went in blind. I was looking for a game to satisfy that 'Sekiro' type itch.
Consider it well and truly scratched.

I re-signed up to Choice via the earlier deal, but the games I really want to play each month can be very hit and miss. I wanted none in the july bundle.
You can skip months after the first bundle, but that resets the other benefits.

Unless you buy a lot from humble store directly, or do a lot of trading, i think most people are probably better off paying the full $16.95 at the times its games they actually want.

    • That's fair.

    • I'm pretty sure if you skip a month with that deal it cancels the deal

  • Universe for sale looks like a cute game

  • +8

Code OMEN24 worked to make it AU$12.44 for the first month

    • +4

Thanks for the code. Works on new accounts only.

  • FOMO > guesswork/micromanagement for me at this point
