Last 'new' item I got here wasn't. It was really really new looking but not actually new with the expected plastic and tape in certain places.

Right, this was more Australian 'new', than Japanese 'new' if you know what I mean.
I happen to know the product, so I know how its usually packaged with various parts in plastic and tape holding parts down etc. This looked new but all those little packaging niceties were not there.
I think a Japanese person would not accept it as new but in Australia we mostly would.
Still, I felt they were BS-ing me calling it 'New' on the website
Reckon its safe to buy "used" anime figures from this place?
I have bought multiple "used" model kits and they came all brand new - some have had aged / poor condition packaging though - I've noticed they put "damaged" or "missing" in the description if things are wrong with the products.
