Currently some of you have the awesome credit card insurance and get benefits like Price Protection and Merchandise Protection for these cards above and maybe also for the old Coles Source Mastercard and 28 Degree card

But now the cards above Latitude want to charge a $10.95 monthly fee. Over the years managed to reap thousands of benefits from these insurances and overall still up

Should I cancel and save $10.95 a month or keep buying things I can claim back on and hopefully not hit the lifetime limit?

  • I have a coles mastercard with 2 years price protection and 6 months merchandise protection with $99 annual fee.

I would keep it for $10.95/m

    • I got that one too

      account cover plus right?

      • Yeah

        • issue is no points but I guess that's the same with most of the legacy buyer's protection cards

after nab took over it all went to shit

          • @Poor Ass: No points? It earns triple flybuys which turns into about $500-600 flybuy dollars for us per year

            • @teacherer: The $99 rewards one doesn't have the old school buyers protection

Only the ones that changed from Coles source master card did… I dunno

And they changed all the conditions too

              • @Poor Ass: My current $99 coles one does, which I realise is no longer available.

              • @Poor Ass: They offered shoppers protection on both the free and rewards Coles cards back then, so if you activated it then you kept it. I have the free card and my sister has the $99 one both of us have shoppers protection

                • @MeesusEff: I have it on the non annual feel Coles source before

  • Just read 28Deg will be getting an $8 monthly fee from mid-Sept

    • oh dang!

      but……

Under a new Latitude Rewards program, you will be eligible for a $10 e-gift card every statement period from a retailer of your choice via the Latitude App when you spend $1,000 or more on eligible transactions in each statement period.

  • Any other cards with price protection?

    I couldn't find any….

    • Doesn't exist anymore for new ones
