Hi fellow Bargainers, I had to replace my last peeler and was looking at Woolies whilst I did my weekly shop. I did a quick check on Amazon and found this one which they are selling at Woolies. Although it's sold through a third party for $17.99 < https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/1075197724… >

I've purchased one for myself already, happy bargain hunting!

Looks like this is the same price as a previous deal posted.

These are far better than dollar store peelers, won't go dull after a few uses, especially if you eat a lot of sweet potato.

I doubt it would compare to the quality of OXO. This brands comes with hugs and kisses, dollar store comes with hopes and prayers.

True, i have 3 around my house, the cheap one, this OXO one and the victorinox from the amazon deals.

The cheap ones do the work, even after 4 years, so no need to upgrade if you are happy.

The oxo one (on this deal) is good, as it is very sharp and the peeling angle is good, meaning you just peel the skin with very little edible parts attached to it, so whatever you are peeling will not end up looking like a tesla cybertruck.

The victorinox one is crap just because the peeling edge has some sort of pattern (like teeth, not completely flat like to other ones) which makes it hard to operate, so only use it when none of the others are available.

Take cover! Incoming OXO fanbois approaching.

I think the Ikea one below is the best - beautifully weighted etc… and I also have the OXO one, so have compared.

Never regreted my purchase of this little peeling monster. I peeled 5 carrots and 4 potatos with it last night for my beef cassrole. But I have to admit it didn't make the taste any better.

I read an article recently where a chef said this one from Woolworths is his favourite https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/98781/culi…

not sure why. admittedly the OXO one looks better on paper

I have several of these. They are great.

    • The smaller size suits those who hold it more in fingers than palm and easier to peel smaller things. They aren't as sharp out of the box though.

      • Had a few of the thicker handled peelers like oxo, but I personally don't like the size of them. The culinare is a perfect size for my peeling style . $6 and never let me down. Only peelers I will use now.

$7.20 at House and Robins kitchen with C&C. Amazon are price matching as it is $8.99 before and extra 20% off in cart at those stores.
4% cashback with TCB as well.

Thank you got one at House.

I think it would cost me far more than $1.79 to walk into a Robins Kitchen unaccompanied….

Those damn dual wall glasses are always on sale!

  • Have one of these, bought somewhere around 10+ years ago in pink/purple. Still peels great. I like the thick handle. I’d recommend a colourful one because it’s easier to find in your second draw than black.

Amazon prime is now $79 annually or $9.99 monthly, update the description to reflect the same instead of the old price of $59.

    • +5

Its $59 spend to get free shipping if you dont have prime, not the membership price.
