Other - I reckon 99% of my stuff is secondhand, antique or street bounty.
This is the way
yep 100%
best place to get furniture is…
Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree
Why pay full price when you can get decent used furniture for a "song"
Smart when first moving out of home / first purchased house. Nick Scali now that my pockets are a bit deeper. Buy once cry once.
Franco Cozzo. He's in a brunswick and a footisgray.
Nah, he's permanently in the penalty bin
Ikea - when you are a unit student
Nick Scali - once you graduated
Kingsliving- few years after first job
King sofas seem okay, not convinced about their other stuff.

Whatever's on the kerbside during hard rubbish.
Facebook marketplace
Beware of scammers though
It's pretty hard to get scammed buying secondhand furniture- it's not like there are electronics or complex moving parts.
Unless you like to put a deposit for the $8000 sofa posted for $200 so the seller can hold it for you until Saturday pick up.
@lgacb08: Okay, i should amend that to "it's hard to get scammed buying secondhand furniture unless you're an idiot who puts down deposits to totally unverified internet randos."
Surely the deposit scam has to be in the top five.
LeCornu's, oh wait
.
Hiw often are you buying furniture that you have a 'regular'? If you buy right, but once then you spend the time to shop around and find what you want. Might be the same as last time, but more likely they dont have the one that takes your fancy, so you keep looking until you find what you do like.
IMO there is no one size fits all unless you're willing to compromise on things. Ikea is ok if you need a chest of drawers and bookshelf but most of their chairs and office chairs are complete rubbish. Bedshed isn't bad for beds in my experience and Steelcase do good office chairs. Officework have decent desks but it's been years since I bought one.
There's no point doing all your shopping at the one place because other stores might have something that better suits your needs.
My house is probably 50% Ikea, 5% Kmart, 25% Freedom, 2% Amart, 5% Oz Design, 5% Snooze, and then the rest is more one off pieces from e.g. Provincial, Pillow Talk, Furniture Shack, etc
Jardan Made in Melbourne.
Price definitely not Ozbargain but they do have sales once or twice a year. For reference, a 4 seater sofa with a Ottoman will cost 5 digits for certain range.
I support local manufacturing. If you have money to splash and want customised furniture go to Jardan.
Seems to hit a sweet spot with price and quality.

Just bought a dining table and chaira from there. Waiting on delivery, but seemed an ok middle ground price/quality
Between Amart and Oz Design I have most things covered.
