Will cost $2 after cashback. TopCashback has an exclusive $18 cashback on Boost $45 28 Day Prepaid SIM card that is discounted by Boost to $20 (excludes eSIM). Pay $20, get $18 cashback.

  • Please note the new T&C from Telstra/Boost for cashback: SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.

  • Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. You can leave it dormant without recharge for cashback.

  • From Boost: If your phone isn’t recharged for a period of 6 months it will be deemed inactive and you will lose your number.

  • Can confirm that this Boost/TopCashback offer does track.

60GB on first 3 recharges for new customers. 35GB on 4th recharge. Activate by 5 Aug 24 and 3rd recharge by 7 Oct 24.

You may get 35GB if SIM is not activated by 5 Aug.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.
  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 90 days of purchase.

Boost Mobile edging us… tempting us to buy but will hold for now..

    Thanks for sharing @trixieb :)

Some OzBargainers don't get out of bed unless there is a Boost profit :)

      • This must be brand new, I checked a few hours ago and TCB still hadn't reinstated Boost CB
Thanks for the post, although I'm staying in bed

        • Have fun :)

        • -1

It's Saturday. The sky is blue and sunny warm day outside. Are you kidding by staying in bed?

I enjoyed my time outside getting vitamin D by walking around park, Darling Harbour, and shopping …

      • Those OzBargainers have been sleeping for a loooooooooong time.

    • …will hold for now.

      Reason ?

      • For me, I don't like top CB. I prefer CR.

        • @biggweilo I didn't like TopCB initially. Customer service and tracking at TopCB have improved a lot since the new rep (from CR) tightarse is there now. TopCB is much more responsive than before. The website/app is different to CR and I'm getting used to it now.

          • @trixieb: How do you get access to INSIDE-information from TopCB ?

It seems that your-comments @ 1-Jul-24 is out-of-date & updated by the criteria noted in this post ?
            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15449135/redir

It seems that despite Boost &/or Amaysim list their criteria for incentivised-purchases via money-back-companies (eg NEW-customers, activation-deadlines etc) OzBargainers are circumventing them by knowing which of those criteria are NOT-check ?

Effectively this post is the MINIMUM-criteria you think people should take in order to get money-back, but buyers don't really know until 90d ish after their purchases, ie buyers are taking SOME-risk ?

            Thanks for sharing.

  • Can anyone confirm cashback is still granted if you convert the physical sim to esim after activating it?

    • +1

Yes,got my cash back no issue, did that with SB deal but I guess it should work for this too.

    • +2

hmm technically speaking you will then be deactivating the SIM (I mean SIM not number) like there will be a sim serial number change so IDK

depends i guess how they define that deactivating term

  • so if i port out after 30 days does that mean it's deactivated and i wont get cash back?

    • +2

I think you are right, can't port out

  • o get 60GB, SIM has to be activated by 5 Aug. Otherwise it will be 35GB

so not good. It takes 5 days for shipping? LMAO. its the weekend. GL getting 60gb extra this should not even be included. its the 3rd of aug right now

    • -1

Yeah they'll likely be a different bonus after the 5th Aug. Won't be just the base 35GB surely

  • That means you can't churn using your main number with this but for data only (2nd SIM or in a modem) it'll be fine. CR is $1 less but without this constraint for someone that matters.

    • It may be a condition from Telstra/Boost and the other cashback sites haven't updated the T&Cs.

      • @tightarse-TopCashback AU: may be T&Cs should state this so that NOVICE-buyers fully understand the criteria ?
        Isn't the-existing money-back system clear-as-mud already…more-transparency ? Thanks.

@trixieb: is it prudent to clearly list ALL-the-criteria & risk eg potential tracking-issues & hence potential-rejection of money-back claims?
        NOVICE-buyers should be warn-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/859337.

        My interpretations: 1st 28d, pay $20 ($18 potential money-back claim). 2nd, 3rd, 4th 28d etc, pay $20 (NO money-back claim) with AUTO-renewal turn-ON until TCB approved your money-back claim. Then DE-activate account. Is this correct ? Thanks.

        • +1

My understanding is you just pay for the starter kit, activate it and use it, turn off auto renewal, 28days later plan expired so it becomes pay as you go with 0 credit, wait for cashback approval, then you can do whatever you want with it. That means no porting away before approval.

          • +1

@brianmau: Precisely. Not sure where the confusion is.

            • @Borg:

…they will be adding a further requirement around SIMs remaining active or recharged, but we’re waiting on exact conditions & wording before we add to our Boost page.
              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15352360/redir

              4-Aug-24 0900hr: TCB is silent on the above-> https://www.topcashback.com.au/boost-mobile/

              • +1

@ab c: The new T&C from Boost has been added. Please note as per the post description and TCB/Boost page you linked:

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.

As mentioned in my post description, recharge is not required for cashback.

                Please read again. Thanks :)

                • @trixieb: Thanks for your detailed-post & clarifications.

May be the current-set-up reflects the nature-of-the-beast…applies to CR, SB & TCB ?

                  • @ab c: This new T&C seems to be from Telstra/Boost and would probably apply to all cashback companies.

        • @ab c

@trixieb: is it prudent to clearly list ALL-the-criteria & risk eg potential tracking-issues & hence potential-rejection of money-back claims?

Have you read the T&Cs stated in this post description and on the TCB/Boost page? It's a good guide to ensure you get your cashback.

Thanks.

As @brianmau explained, this is a Prepaid SIM starter pack so you pay the discounted price of $20 ($18 cashback) for this first SIM card that lasts 28 days after activation. Best to turn OFF auto renewal. Please wait for cashback before you deactivate or port away.

You don't have to recharge this SIM for cashback. If you do recharge in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th month etc, the price is not $20 as it is a discounted offer at the moment.

  • Bugger. Looks like this could be the end of Boost for churner's. Who's left now? Amaysim (discount + cashback), Lebara (supermarket specials). Any others? I'm good for the next few months with Lebara and Catch Sims but after that I might have a look around for yearly deals.

Am happy to spend $2 for a Spare number and also have set as default for Mobile Data when out and about. Saves my 365 data plan from being used.
Also not a bad thing that there is no profit as it might mean we may have continued deals rather than the the sillyness of those that buy ridiculous numbers just to make a few $$.

    Thanks TCB & OP.
