Saw this on clearance at Bunnings. Proper printed clearance tag so should be possible to get the same price elsewhere.

How does it differ to the mini speaker without me googling like a lazy pleb
I assume the primary difference is that this would have a bigger driver, so likely a much fuller (better) sound for music.
Thanks
Where the smaller one is mostly for asking google things, this has the ability to play better sounding music than the mini speaker. Still highly average for music.
Still struggles to hear you say things, still struggles to do the right thing when asked, still requires shouting now and then.
Lol, thanks.
So better Mic to perfect my advertising data model as well?
Going by the prices in marker place, this is still cheaper.
I mistook the title for Chromecast Audio and nearly crapped myself
Ask Google to clean it up
Bunnings are clearing the Nest stuff out. Speculation being that Gemini-branded/powered devices may come at some point. Or it's typical Google just cancelling products on a whim.
I got one of these for free with a phone a few years back and have had a few different google devices. It is noticeably better than the v1 and v2 minis, but far short of the max. Good for bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, or garage. Not good enough for lounge, dinning, outdoor, or study.
Personally after having had them in current and previous house in our new house we are still hard wiring zoned speakers back to a central point with a matrix amp as its cheaper and more reliable than using tech solutions for zoned audio on decent scale. If I was renting and needed wifi i would look for second hand maxs or look at the other camp as all the echos used to have 3.5mm out.
About what they are worth honestly.
