      Went to HK in May this year and it's perfectly fine. Not a lot of western tourists, still a great city to visit. Highly recommend.

    Found an December flight Adelaide to Tokyo for $849 which is amazing, but when I entered all my details it refused to take payment from my card. Rang the number and they told me this fare doesn't exist. Feels pretty dodgy.

      Which flight website was it?

      I had a similar experience. The website wasn't clear on whether the standard 23kg baggage was included. I called the website helpline to check - on hold for a few mins, says its extra for baggage - told him all good ill go get from somewhere else. Asked me to hold again, came back saying he can offer me a discount because the fare is in "high demand" and challenged me to check other websites while he waited.

      Thereafter whichever site I checked had the old price but on checkout the price was increased because "in demand".

      Very dodgy practice.
