    Tell us where son.

I think "3 pizzas" is a more accurate description than "3 large pizzas" now.

    • +23

"3 shit pizzas" would be even more accurate.

      • +6

"3 cardboard boxes + 3 cardboard inserts inside"

    • +3

Is this really even a deal? Everything cost extra unless you order a pizza with (profanity) all toppings on it. And all the sides cost extra unless you get softdrink or chips or garlic bread. Hell even the potato gems cost a buck extra.

I know the pizza wars are over, but really this is rediculous for what you get.

3 basic ass pizzas and 3 basic ass garlic breads. Get ready to add an extra $10 once you change pizzas and sides. Cheap upfront but expensive once you get to the nitty gritty

    • Yeah, I contemplated it until I realised the only way I would have gotten away at $29 would have been for 3 pepperoni pizzas and 3 plain garlic bread
      .

Might not suit you but in my opinion Dominos might be the cheapest takeaway option with all the discount codes. We went to a Korean recently and got a shock seeing single-serve fried chicken cost $28 in Brisbane!

I think dominos is good value with coupon codes. But Dominos never use to charge for changing pizzas and sides. Last time I ordered dominos I paid $34 pick up for 3 good pizzas and any 3 sides (about 8 months ago) same order now is $7 dearer. People think it’s good value now but it’s actually gone backwards if people check their previous order prices they would know.

To be fair, 8 months ago a lot of food cost less… My local Asian place raised prices by $3 per dish, happy meal was $4.95 and now its $5.75, tear and share breads went from $4 to $5 at Coles, the list goes on….

For a Friday night, this is a decent deal. Most fast food places don't discount much on Fridays. If you want cheaper, wait for Tuesday

3 "value" pizzas, barely bigger than the old Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas, and 3 basic sides for $30, and this is a "deal" now?

Doesn't take much to remind me why I haven't had dominos for a year or so.

These pizzas are a joke. So small. One slice is literally 3 bites. Nothing more than a scam these days for a “large pizza”.

bonus for my direct reports sorted

    • I suspect you are a Harvey Norman Franchisee

    • After working late on a Friday.

No wonder Domino's share prices are in the gutter these days if this is their pricing and marketing strategy. Pass

Was going to get Domino's actually tonight after having to stay back at work and even with 40% off one of just the regular traditional pizzas are $10!?!

Never noped out an app so quickly lol I can get actual food for that price :)

  • Hmm not a good deal even these days. $5 per value large not so long ago.

    • +2

Yeah $5v was the right price for a basic pizza a while ago, even a great deal and for that price it didn't matter about the size or quality.

  • +6

Would prefer to go to a corner pizza joint… Prices are not much different.

  • +1

    What does "upgradable" pizza mean?

    • +3

It means instead of getting one piece of pepperoni per slice you now get 1.5 pieces.

    • +1

It means the price shown is for their basic value range pizzas, but you can upgrade to better pizzas for extra cost.

  • +2

Screw Domino's. They aren't good value anymore.

I have shares in this trash-hole of a company that have plummeted along side their business model. Bought shares at $112 a pop and now worth like $30, coinciding with them scrapping their only half decent deal of $5 pizzas, increasing fees such as Sunday surcharges, public holiday surcharge, late night surcharge etc. and a dramatic drop in quality across the board; not to mention skrinflation.

    Domino’s can go shove it!

    • It was once at $112 per share? Jesus.

      • +2

It topped at about $150 from memory. They had some fantastic expansion plans for opening new stores circa. 2021-22. Never followed through and instead decided to sht the metephorical bed with stupid aforementioned business decisions.

If it sounds like I'm salty, it's not my normal personality; it's just because I ate one of their sodium rich meals.

They were famous for exploiting workers and stealing wages when they were very cheap. Just saying.

    • Now they'll be famous for having no workers as they'll have no customers (not saying wage theft is good, just saying crap company crap outcomes )

      • Yeah no big deal though if they go bust. Plenty of other pizza places.

  • But Dad, Dominos make terrible pizzas!

  • The "upgrade" didn't seem to be an option when I tried a couple nights ago, could only get the Value Range (eg couldn't upgrade to a Godfather like it used it allow)

And I must be lucky as I have a great local Domino's (and also a crap one which I avoid)

$6.50 Dr Oatker and $6 La Famiglia Garlic Bread Slices.from the convince of home is a better combo now. The "upgrade" model is trash.

  • Used the 40% off coupon from the pizza coupon page here last night. Got 3 X "large" pizzas for the kids; pepperoni (not the loaded aka more $), supreme & a cheese (upgraded to cheese and garlic crust).

Total was $34 pick up or averaged out to $11.33 per pizza.

I actually quite like the cheese + cheese & garlic crust combo but at that price their 'standard' deals are pretty average. As mentioned by another user, corner or local pizza places are worth checking out. Our local does a similar pan sized pizzas for roughly that price & if you consolidate the order into two family sized pans it's about $10 more - for much better pizza and supporting a local, independent business.

The 'large' is not large & an extra $8 or wtf the they sting for 'extra large' is not good value IMO.

Domino's and the hut have far too much non-pizza menu items by category. Has anybody actually found any of the other stuff good?

  • +1

Hate that word "From" and even Pizza Hut has started using it…

  • Since they changed their system for sides deals and additional addon fees some time back (at the same time as increasing all the prices), almost every combination of sides now ends up more expensive with a deal than without (for pickup at least?)

At least their online ordering system warns you and automatically disables the deal rather than charging the higher price.

    • +1

Yeah was better when value pizzas were $5, and that was that.
