plenty of these installed in Caravans - it is a 12v TV.

    • the only reason you would want this tv is this:

      https://spares.bigwarehouse.com.au/index.php?cPath=115273_11…

you own a boat or caravan that needs a 12v compatible tv

It also saves you from needing a seperate DVD player.

These are great in places like sheds too, where several people I know run just the shed off grid, so you can save power and pull directly from the 12v.

When I worked at JB I sold more of this style TV than any other. All-in-one for caravaners etc, millions of people still use DVD (why not on a TV this size), and cheap as when it’s obviously not meant to be a home cinema.

Gotta learn to think outside your own desires, my guy.

    • A 1-year warranty will be provided instead of the previously offered 3-year warranty due to a promotional update.

    That's an interesting promotion.

    • -1

Fair advertisement is fair, if anyone had seen this before posted with 3 years warranty.
      Kudos to them.

      • +1

Kudos for reducing the warranty from 3 years to 1? Economic and environmental vandalism is not worthy of kudos.

      • +2

I don't think any business should be receiving kudos for reducing warranty length on a sale item. They're basically admitting they're going to tell customers with an issue after 1/3rd of the standard warranty length to FO because they haven't paid RRP. This is BS behaviour and needs to be called out.

        • They could've done it without sharing that information, that is all I'm saying.
An informed consumer should consider whether that is sufficient coverage, which I agree it isn't.
          HOWEVERRRR
they didn't NEED to tell you, but they did πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

    • *De-motion, even?

This TV, or a very similar one by the same company has been out a LONG time.
Paid $129 in 2016 from the same company.

I can't find a better deal currently, so it's not a downvote, I just know people here sometimes like to know of past buying experiences.
Good TV, anyway, DVDs load quickly and it's decently power efficient.

  • DVD lololol what are you meant to do with your blurays?

    • I burnt them to DVD for travel.

While you're techincally losing a whole lot between the two formats, in reality you're not really missing out on much on a screen this small, while in a boat or caravan without high end audio, anyway.

      • +1

Hmm, probably easier/better to just download a bunch of 1080p movies onto a USB stick and play it on the TV that way.

I see people giving away DVD's on most sites like FB MP, Gumtree, etc. You could always grab a free stash for your next caravan trip away, I suppose.

  • TV for ants?

    • Ants don't own boats or caravans

      • Only those ants that didn't invest in Property before Covid!

    • Meh, not that small. I had a friend once who's family had a 13" (34cm) TV as their main family TV.

  • I need one of those 55” deals my LG got wrecked :/
