Posting this because the Amazon deal earlier was unpublished now republished, so here's another way to save on this excellent grinder.

Local stock costs more or less $990.

Don't forget to mention that it should come with an AU plug.

Happy brewing! ☕️

Does this include the grinder app?
    Asking for a friend…

  • Shame the previous post was removed, there were some good comments there comparing and contrasting it with Niche Zero.

    • Now republished as we've been able to confirm with company that their Amazon store is in fact is there own.

There were a few interesting questions regarding different varieties in the previous deal.
    Could someone please clarify:

    • Does the Amazon one come with AU plug?
    • Does the DF64 shop one come with an AU plug if you select the 240V version?

I don't think I care much about the DLC burrs, so the Amazon version would be fine for me if it had the proper cords.. also never had any warranty issues dealing with Amazon.
Local stock seems way overpriced in comparison.

    • Yeah, looking for these answers also.

    • Yes you need to mention in your order that it should come with an AU plug

having purchased the DF83v2 with stainless steel burrs and then purchasing the DF83v with DLC burrs I would honestly recommend going for the DLCs. Small added cost but a great improvement on taste when comparing them side by side. Not sure how much of that is due to the DF83v being a different grinder altogether, but thres definitely a significant improvement in my experience.

I assume the same would apply for the 64mm variants.

And yes, both came with AU plug when asking for AU plug in comment section of the purchase order.

      • This! I have a DF64V and one of the deciding factors to get it over the DF64V, apart from variable speed was the inclusion of DLC burrs. Many forums have posts saying that DLC burrs make a difference to the cup taste.

    • FYI feedback from DF64 Amazon Store:

If your delivery address is Australia, you will receive Australia Plug.
If your delivery address is Europe, you will receive Europe Plug. (Except Ireland)
If your delivery address is United Kingdom, you will receive UK Plug.
All models are 220-240V and 50-60Hz

  • Where did the thread for this go that was posted this morning on Amazon for $580, it seems to have disappeared for me?

    • Unpublished by mods :)

      • Why? Was there a problem with the listing?

it does not meet amazon guidelines posting

          • @HolyCr4p: I don’t know what that means? I just want to know whether there was an issue with the product for the Amazon listing to be pulled? Does it not meet Australian standards, i.e. another countries plug, what exactly?

            • @Cevolution: The seller didn't have enough feedback as per the posting guidelines. They had one 5-star review

              • @Kaise: I see. The seller is listed as the actual manufacturer on Amazon.au, is this false? If they’re the company that makes them then surely that should be enough to meet the guidelines.

                • @Cevolution: tbomk, df64coffee is not the manufacturer - they're a distributor.

                  • @bilbies: Sorry, I appreciate the correction. I have sent a message to df64coffee on Amazon.au to clarify and confirm whether their listing is the AU model and comes a 220-240V AU plug.

                • @Cevolution: The problem was whether they were the company or whether it was some dodgy seller pretending to be. Happens often.

                  • @neil: Thank you for replying and clarifying this Neil. Were you able to confirm whether it’s the legitimate distributor?

                    • @Cevolution: Yes,

                      • @neil: Thanks Neil for confirming this, your help has been much appreciated.

    • We had to confirm with the company that the Amazon store was in fact theres. Too many dodgy stores on Amazon.

Appreciate my cheap Breville grinder but I am over the unpredictability of the dose.

I went immediately to the earlier $580.00 Amazon thread but it was gone by the time I got there.

I am not going to pay AU$1K for a grinder..

    • You can always try here coffesnobs I picked up a solid deal on Macap M2M from here (works for my needs). There is also loads of helpful advice and information.

I am not going to pay AU$1K for a grinder..

You're right, that price is too low.

      • Maybe for your needs but ample for mine.

  • If I add in SSP espresso burr it is at just under $1K shipped.

Do I need fancy burrs for my daily espresso?

    • Depends how you like your espresso/coffee

    • Do you do straight espresso or with milk? What beans do you use? I think the jump to DLC is worth the price, after that you get diminishing returns.

      • Straight long double.

Beans are nothing fancy - Coffex Superbar.

Just after the same grind consistently day day after day.

    240v - $990 yeahhhhh right….nice deal

? This downvote makes no sense.

      • 0.242 volts per dollar must be offensive for some reason. Unless it's the fact we're now technically on 230V to match (most of) Europe.

  • Thought it was microscope…

    • should have gone to specsavers first

I bought DF64V (220-240v) from these guys about 1 year ago. It is about $200 bucks cheaper than Alternative Brewing. Overall, it is a decent budget version vs Option O Langom P64. The only part I had to do was cutting cord and replace it with AUS plug. It is shipped from Singapore. It has been similar price when I bought it about 1 year ago though.

  • I don’t see anywhere in checkout to leave a comment for an AU plug. Maybe it comes after the “pay now” button? I’m afraid to press it

Edit: found it in the shopping cart slide over, there is an invisible text area (at least it is invisible on iOS Safari)

    • If you have specific requests, you need to send them an email which is in theirs 'contact' section (mention or forward to them your order #).

  • I've just started looking into grinders, does anyone have a reason to purchase this over a DF40 considering I only make 2-3 coffees per day?

    • Get df54 - imo, a better grinder and in the cup very similar to df64, especially if you drink milk based coffees.

  • Keep in mind that df64coffee price in AUD is not what you'll be charged on your credit card because it's charged in USD and different credit card use different exchange rates plus majority charge an International transaction fee, even on AUD transactions if made to an overseas retailer.

  • I have the DF54 - slightly smaller. But so far (only had a for a short time), it seems fantastic for the price. DF64 at this price is a steal.
