Assuming it's the full Telstra network, this looks to be a better deal than Boost, now that they're increasing their $35 plan to $39. Not only is this 30 days instead of 28, it also allows you to bank up to 200GB as opposed to only rolling over the previous month.

    • I'd consider this once my current Boost recharge runs out.

Not the end of the world, though does anyone know if JB has visual voicemail?

    • I might get that to replace my boost sim

  • Coles catalog site is down, but looks like its also available at JB HiFI directly

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/pages/pre-paid-sim

  • Anyone know what happens with the SIM when you don't activate by August 5th? Haven't been able to get an answer from JB staff. If you just miss out on the bonus activation data it's still a decent price

  • Just be aware, I went to Coles to get one of these and the expiry date on the SIMs is 24th Aug 2024. I checked with Coles and they told me that is the reason they are on special.

So unless you intend to activate them in the next couple of weeks, these SIMs are useless to you…

    • fwiw, I went to JB HiFi and they have a bunch of different SIM expiry dates, including some as far out as November…

I think what Coles told me yesterday was BS

  • I just activated my sim and it was all done through the Telstra website, so it's basically the same as a Telstra sim except for the speed throttling.

  • Will employees ask if we're interested in a jb mobile or telstra plan after buying a phone now?

  • The automated text messages about activation and recharging actually come from Boost so I'm assuming it's just Boost rebadged.

    • Do you know if there would there be any issues transferring from JBHIFI to Boost?

      • +1

I'm not sure, but potentially there could be issues. Might be safest to do a $2 port to Optus or Vodafone first.

  • So is this no longer available?
